What is it that makes y6 girls cool?

At state school primary carol service today and noticed an air of cool around some of the kids (not mine)
How do they get it?
And so young
This is my 3rd time observing and by y6 you already know who those kids are
Is it cool parents?
I can't work it out

Sometimes its looks and appearance! Some of the cool Y6 girls are considered conventionally pretty by their peers, look slightly older or are taller than others. And they may have access to more fashionable clothes and accessories - either because their parents are more well off or they just choose to buy them certain things.

And sometimes they’re also allowed to wear makeup or dye their hair earlier than their friends. Or throw parties that are more like a teen would have etc

Also just personality and interests. I was always a bit socially awkward and focused on books and sports, whereas some kids at that age were naturally very extrovert, great social skills, and interested in everything deemed cool (boy bands, fashion etc).

I joined an affluent all girls school around age 11 and immediately felt uncool. All the girls had top of the range high street /designer school bags, the most expensive shoes, some even had dyed hair . So even though we were in uniform you could still see who was “cool” and who wasn’t.

I looked about 8 when I was 11 and was the shortest in my class lol
