I know people who know her in politics and in humanism. Haven't heard a bad word about her. No idea how she is in the entertainment world though.

Since others have already brought up her betrayal of womens rights - As far as any advice or 'prescription' the likes of Sandy want to give, this Australian feminist says it well:

I’m certain in decent relationships both parties put each other first regardless of sex.
Certainly the case in mine and that of my parents, in- laws and grandparents.
Maybe what’s missing is a good example.
