Gavin and Stacey - first time I've watched it! No spoilers please!

I'm not sure why I never watched this back in 2007, but have finally started watching this evening!
Up to the one where they just got married.

Smithy is a horrible character but I love, love, love Nessa!

At the wedding? One was Stacey’s friend and one was Gavin’s so that seems very unlikely! I’ve never seen that scene.

Bryn is taking ages to decide what to order and then decides on the gnocchi? I can never see the word gnocchi without hearing Bryn saying it in my head.

They do meet again at an event in the third series (won’t spoil) and they either obviously shag again or want to - can’t remember.

Nessa's backstory is so funny. I bet they'll add another element in the new episode. My personal favourite is the reference to her relationship with the Al Fayed boy in the 90s and he just disappeared suddenly (can't remember the phrasing) or that she was in the original line up for All Saints but she fell out with Shaznay. I think she was in Hearsay too. All very dated references now but so funny.

Nessa wasn’t in Hear’say but she was good friends with Noel and lived with him and the rest of the band The Distance (the others comprising of the musicians from Catatonia). Yes Noel guest stars in the last episode of season 3.

I find it really interesting how a lot of people have commented on Stacey being spoiled but no one has commented on Gavin's selfishness. And Mick has a dark side too. My point being, they're all 3D well-rounded characters.
