...and so each day up until Christmas I'll be bringing you some festive scenes from Playmoland. Today Franziska and Heinz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

More detailed brilliance from you bits - I could so get lost in all these beautiful scenes!

FuzzyPuffling · 13/12/2024 09:20

What a very talent- full school!

Thank you for this. Your thread is currently distracting me from a panic attack that has been in the making for quite some hours now ❤️

Mind yourself @anareen ❤️
I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you all for the lovely comments! @anareen I'm pleased the Playmo scenes have helped you and hope you soon feel better. I always find Playmobil quite calming - maybe it's something to do with their smiling little faces. Xmas Smile x

I’m very impressed with the diversity of musical talent on show! Music is often overlooked at primary school but clearly not in Playmoland!

It does have a calming vibe to it all ❤️

Everyone in the school must have worked so hard, well done to all the teachers! (And to @SoMuchToBits , obvs!)

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2024 13:47

Thank you! They are very keen on music in Eastgate Primary School. Especially Miss Jennings and Mr Wilson! Xmas Smile

Well done Eastgate Primary. That was a great concert, we are all very proud of you. Great bongo solo from Isabel there!

I'm sure that the children's next door neighbours really enjoyed listening to them rehearse for the grand concert.

A special mention to school photographer @SoMuchToBits Flowers

FuzzyPuffling · 13/12/2024 19:17

Could Mr Jennings and Miss Wilson be hatching romance over the bongos?

A Playmo wedding in the making?

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2024 19:24

Unfortunately not @FuzzyPuffling ! Mr Wilson is already married (with 3 children) to Gail, and Miss Jennings is in a long term relationship (with 4 children) with Samson. Xmas Grin Also, they are congas. Bongos are smaller and usually would be on a stand (you can tell ds plays percussion Xmas Wink ).

@SoMuchToBits , these scenes are absolutely glorious, so much warmth in them, I can really sense that. Your kid is a real cutie! Was, at least. I hope your own run-up to Christmas is at least half as fun as the Playmo activities!

FuzzyPuffling · 13/12/2024 19:36

Oooh heck, wrong on all accounts!
( Slopes off to do 100 lines " I must not hope for playmo romances.." !)

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2024 19:41

Thank you @Piemam ! I still think ds is cute, but probably best not to mention that to him now he's 24! Xmas Grin

My own run-up to Christmas is mainly taken up with music (I play in 2 bands and go to a lot of other concerts) and cooking (am hosting Christmas, only for 4 of us but I make a lot of home made stuff!) Xmas Smile

Not to worry @FuzzyPuffling I hadn't really gone into any of the Playmo people's relationships! Xmas Grin

Yippee, I thought tomorrow evening was going to be that rare thing on a December weekend - a concert free evening. But a friend has just advertised a concert I can go to. Hooray! Sorry, this has nothing to do with Playmo, but I'm quite excited! Xmas Smile

Clabony · 13/12/2024 22:00

Oh have a lovely evening. Do you have a favourite type of music? I imagine that you enjoy a wide spectrum.

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2024 22:12

I do indeed! I enjoy a lot of classical music as that's what I was first introduced to. But in our bands we play a mixture of classical/arrangements from musicals/military marches/popular songs, anything goes really!

My Christmas listening at home includes Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet, Britten's Ceremony of Carols, pretty much any Christmas carol you have ever heard, a CD of folk arrangements, a triple CD set of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra and a "Now that's what you call Christmas Music" pop CD set! And a couple of brass band carol compilations. Quite a mix!

OP posts:
Clabony · 13/12/2024 22:51

I can't see anything there that I wouldn't like! 😍

I'm going to a carol concert next Friday and I'm really looking forward to it. I was thwarted going to it last year due to a bit of an emergency, which later sorted.

I do love a brass band!

This weekend there is a Christmas market in Lowbeach-on-Sea. Klara and Friedrich are looking at the toy stall with their dad Andreas. "You can choose one toy each." he says.
