Most you’ve spent on concert tickets?

Pumpkittenspice · 27/11/2024 15:09

I’ve been to many concerts and the most I’ve spent on a ticket is £170 to see Lady Gaga at her Chromatica Ball tour.

I opted for golden circle tickets so the price reflects that. I was right at the barrier and it was the best night of my entire life.

I’m a diehard Lady Gaga fan and I would not pay for golden circle tickets for any other singer/band!

£1200 for 3 tickets to see Oasis next year and it's worth every penny to me and I can't bloody wait

Eetzup · 27/11/2024 16:18

£500 for Taylor Swift this August. But i bought them at the last minute (the day before) hence the stupid price. Worth every single penny, though.

findmeonthebeach · 27/11/2024 16:22

£480 twice, so nearly £1000 for hospitality to the Eurovision final in Liverpool last year. Has been a life long bucket list to go and I'd have paid double to do it again!

I spent £220 on two tickets to see the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992. That would be nearer £500 now! It was a quarter of my salary at the time and I was skint for ages. Well worth it though.

I remember my Dad agreeing to pay the "extortionate" cost for my brother and I to see Michael Jackson at Wembley. I've still got the tickets and they were £17.50 each!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 27/11/2024 16:33

£18 to see UB40 (original line up).1998
Absolutely brilliant

TheDandyLion · 27/11/2024 16:34

I don't think I've ever paid more then £50 a ticket for a gig. If I'm spending more than that I'd go to a festival where I can see more than 1 act.

Foxlover46 · 27/11/2024 16:36

£500 for two tickets to see Taylor at Wembley for me and my daughter , worth every single penny it was just 3 hours of pure joy

BigDahliaFan · 27/11/2024 16:39

I'm getting to the age where I can afford better tickets and so would spend £250 to see someone I really wanted to see from a good spot.

stanleypops66 · 27/11/2024 16:42

£320 each to see Coldplay at Wembley next year. Missed out on the normal sale. But I did manage to get £75 oasis tickets so in my head they've evened out a bit.

Something similar myself for next year. Hopefully will be good fun.

I love that logic 😂

2 Coldplay tickets for Wembley next year, crap ones too (lower tier seating at the back of the arean) but £225 each. We've seen them around 10 times now but it's so worth it for the show they put on.

Closely followed by £180 each for Springsteen but I'd have paid double and still come away happy. That man is a LEGEND and it was the best 3 hours listening to him and the band.

taxi4ballet · 27/11/2024 16:54

£125 each to the Royal Ballet. A friend was dancing a principal role for the first time, so we couldn't miss that. We usually see live streams in the cinema.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 27/11/2024 16:57

£420 (x3!) for Taylor Swift hospitality. Could never afford to do it again but as a one off experience it was worth every penny to see my girls have such an amazing day.

TidyDancer · 27/11/2024 17:03

£700 (nearly) for two Taylor Swift tickets this summer. Without a doubt worth every single penny. Had a great night of singing and dancing and don't regret a thing!

Other than that it was probably Chili Peppers at the West Ham stadium. Somewhere between £100-150 per ticket.

Springup24 · 27/11/2024 17:23

I'm not yet at a point where I can discuss what I spent on Taylor Swift tickets. It was well worth it, though!

I got Lana Del Rey tickets today too. We paid £112 per ticket (including fees). Rear standing

Excellent, I’ve a teenager with me so there were rules about what I could and couldn’t buy so I played safe.

SprigatitoYouAndIKnow · 27/11/2024 17:31

I can't imagine more than £100, unless for a multi day festival. I used to go to live music a lot more, but the prices just skyrocketed in the past 15 years or so and I just can't justify seeing any of the big bands any more. Even before that, I always got the cheapest possible seats. Luckily we have a good small music venue nearby, so have seen some great, less famous, people there.

Overall i am happy with my lit amd have seen some amazing live music. My one regret of not seeing someone who was touring in my lifetime would be Dolly.

Peaceloveandhappiness · 27/11/2024 17:46

Approx £180 each person to see Peter Gabriel, same again for Genesis the last couple of years. Worth every penny, loved both shows.

Ihopeithinkiknow · 27/11/2024 21:09

@Carebearstartrek hope you have a great time, I know I will

yakkadeez · 27/11/2024 21:29

Just under £1000 for 2x Oasis tickets next Year. Definitely way too much money for a Gig but I cannot wait! Grin

BlueShed · 27/11/2024 21:32

£210 x 2 for the Killers at the 02 this summer. It was SO good. Still not quite sure how you'd ever decide if it's "worth it" but it really was fantastic and I don't regret it.

ffsfindmeausername · 27/11/2024 21:34

£150 each for Billie Eilish next summer. she is fantastic in concert and puts on a very good show.

HellofromJohnCraven · 27/11/2024 21:48

£225 X 3 to see Queen at the O2 in June 2022.
We had loads of credit on our card after covid refunds for various things. Dd massive fan.
I did however get covid from it!

poppetandmog · 27/11/2024 21:49
