What affordable items - say max £15 - are on your Crimbo lists for kids to buy you

Kids have all got a lot of expenses going out their bank accounts so we have arrived at a ruling ( all agreed with it) about presents . No more than 2 presents for everyone and ideally each is approx up to £15. But I don't have any ideas what I want or need.
What ideas in this range would you have on your list for crimbo presents please?
Many thanks

( if interested, I asked this question elsewhere and still haven't worked out how to move questions)

Some really nice olive oil in a pretty bottle
Decent hair bands (silk ones)
A silk pillowcase (pushes the budget a bit)
Some cosy socks (mainly because they keep stealing mine)

NuffSaidSam · 17/11/2024 12:37

In that price range I'd like:

A candle
A diffuser
Some hand cream
Chocolate
A good book
Nice notepad
Jigsaw puzzle
Small bottle of perfume (I like the M&S and Next ones in this price range)
Calendar
Some wool socks
Slippers
New hairbrush
Good water bottle
Good keepy cup for tea (maybe pushing the budget a bit on this one)

I'm confused. Why do kids have money coming out if their accounts? And why do they need to buy you a present??

I'm only guessing, but:

Because they have bills to pay

Because it's Christmas and people like to buy presents for each other at Christmas

I asked for a nice bauble for the tree from house of Fraser. It’s £9 I think .

apart from that I would ask for a book :-)

Busywithsomething · 17/11/2024 13:50

Thanks to everyone who's helping. Lots of good ideas so far. Cheers folk!

I assumed it was adult children. Possibly late teens/early 20's who might not be financially established, but still want to buy their parents gifts.

smelly candles
puzzle books, an arty jigsaw
a DVD
a long list of books
previous years I've had a gym rucksack and a character tshirt

Surely you know what you'd like?
For me it would be
Books
Small Lego/similar brands sets
Cute Christmas decorations
Bubble Bath
Chocolate Santa
(my daughter isn't financially independent but this is basically what I get for myself for my stocking)

chocoshopoholic · 17/11/2024 14:07

Cuticle oil/hand cream
A cooking spice recipe kit

clary · 17/11/2024 14:08

For that money or less I’d like:

Fluffy socks
Costa or Starbucks voucher
Silver stud earrings
Swimming hat
Swimming goggles
Novel I would like (maybe hardback as I would not buy that for myself)
Posh bubble bath or bath oil
Yoga pants (maybe a bit ££)
Edibles - fancy truffles, posh tea, stack of Ritter Sport bars in different flavours
Bottle of fancy Prosecco
Bottle of Aperol

Silvertulips · 17/11/2024 14:11

You say kids?

Ig you have 3 why not do a secret Santa instead? That way you could all spend a more on a decent quality item for each other.

SquatWeightaMinute · 17/11/2024 14:11

Books or a small plant or a candle for me.

WinterCrow · 17/11/2024 14:17

My adult DC had to pay for fancy phone contracts from age 18. I'd been stumping up for Giff Gaffs, but after that if they wanted fancy iPhone contracts / Netflix / apple storage etc, then they paid for that.

And we do give small presents. This year I'd like a small lemon tree or lime plant, or a voucher for one. I was given a small orange tree earlier this year and it looks very happy and I love the colours on my windowsill.

Dragonsandcats · 17/11/2024 14:20

nice body wash
earrings
nail varnish
book
face mask
candle

Ginkypig · 17/11/2024 14:20

This is going to be unpopular but I just had this conversation with my step daughter, she was asking what I wanted because she couldn’t think of anything and didn’t want to just get me a generic thing for the sake of it.
I know that her budget is similar to your suggestion.

so I had a think and told her I’m just going to be honest with you. Do you know what I would actually genuinely use and appreciate is a marks and Spencer multipack of knickers! I know it is boring but I would be very happy with knowing iv got lovely new comfy knickers 😳
Infact if that is my standard present ever year from now on I’d be content.

so that what I am getting and I am over the moon!

her reaction was as long as you are happy I am too, gosh I love that girl!

NewName24 · 17/11/2024 16:55

Oh with her saying kids I thought she meant children.

Singleandproud · 17/11/2024 17:06

Teen DD buys me a book (I give her a list to pick one from) and a nice bar or box of chocolate which must add up to about £15.
