Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, in silence. Dd1's up and out on her way to work already, & I got up to make sure she'd had a brew before leaving. Kittens have been fed and gone back to bed after a mad half hour where they knocked down part of the clothes airer...again 🙄

My plan for today is deep clean & declutter the living room. I want to wash the sofa & chair cushions too so the second load of clothes is in the washer before I strip those.

Dd2 got up to watch someone's stream of Adele in Vegas at 4am, so I don't think she'll be up for a while yet. When she is, she has some homework to do for Spanish and History, and wanted to carry on making revision cards for the topics already covered.

I'm not sure what's for tea yet - will rummage in the freezer shortly to see. Whatever it is, will probably be accompanied by a glass of wine for me.

Tonight I need to finish the body of the crochet sausage dog I've been making and then make a start on assembling it, and the pug I made, so they can go to school on Monday.

I did start to read this earlier but had a bit of a run around day.
We didn't get our end of half term holiday as DH slipped and fractured his left hip and ended up having a hip replacement op.
He's out of hospital now and in the spare room as it has a higher bed - was woken in the night by him shouting for help as he'd managed to get tangled up in the blankets so that was how my day started!
Returned to bed to rest my knee (hurt it at the adult clip and climb but have had to run after dh so much (he's on crutches) and be up and down to hospitals, so not had much chance to rest it and it's quite painful).
Couldn't really sleep tho so had a bath and washed and dried hair. Sorted breakfast for dh and I. Vacuumed downstairs and did kitchen floor then the Henry Hoover just died so I assume the bag must be full as nothing else was affected but didn't have time to sort it then.
DD got up after a bit and did sausages and scrambled egg for everyone, she also sorted my laptop as it was picking up the wrong wifi (dh said later it was his model railway wifi?!).
Then took DD to work, drove back and went to the nearest supermarket to the hospital, still more than half a mile away and 90 minute max stay, then walked ot the hospital to pick up DH's meds (parking at that hospital is a nightmare).
And the main doors were out of order. I detest that particular hospital.
Anyway, walked back to car and had time to visit supermarket (Lidl) but they didn't have everything I wanted so had to go to Tesco anyway.
Did manage to get rid of a few books and a cardigan but still loads of unneeded and unwanted stuff in the house!
Got back and sorted DH - DS had been with him but he'd gone out by the time I got back. Unloaded shopping, which took ages because of my knee, and brough the vital bits of washing in (DD"s school uniform).
Buttered myself a crust of bread and added roule cheese, had a banana and a layer of Black magic chocolates I'd bought myself. Detest wine, love chocolate!
Then had to go and pick DD up. We decided to eat in the shopping centre where she works and ended up at Bella Italia - she actually gets quite a good staff discount.
Bought myself a pair of leggings at Primark then came home and played dominoes with DS.
Now just scrolling Mumsnet and thinking I need to pack for a 2 night girly trip away for my Aunty's 80th Monday -Wednesday but the packing will not be done tonight!

@DilemmaDelilah I hope you're home and snuggled up cosily by now!

I'm just about to head to bed. Busy busy all day properly deep cleaning the living room. Decluttering's done & the furniture moved for the Christmas tree 😊. Few bits I want to finish tomorrow...possibly a much slower pace to the day though!

@Decafflatteplease I'm now actually in ED and have seen a junior doctor. Waiting for another ECG and more bloods to be taken. As we came here so soon after lunch we didn't bring in a sandwich... but I wish we had as I am jolly hungry now! Just had a change of venue from one cubicle to another. Sitting on a hard chair and waiting for a trolley. I'm not complaining... the department is completely full and I'm not dying... so fair enough. I wish there was somewhere my DH could get something to eat. I have tried to get him to go home but he insisted on staying. The hospital restaurant closed at 7pm and there are no other food outlets. He can get crisps or a chocolate bar... that's about it.

@lucysmam still here. Not much happening - I may get to go home with a follow up phone call in an hour or so if I'm lucky. I'm very tired!
