What's everyone wanting to buy for Black Friday!?

I'm eagerly waiting for Black Friday as I'm after a walking pad to help me get my arse moving a bit more during working hours at home 🙃

Also interested to hear what everyone else is holding out for... My MIL insisted that Hot Wheels are "all the rage" for this year's Christmas - whether that's true or not I'm not sure - but I'll probably be looking for some deals on them too for my two DC

So, since I'm nosey - what are you after? And has anyone see any early Black Friday deals yet? You know, since Black Friday is now the whole of November

I buy my own Christmas present and I’d like to gift myself a Dyson airwrap this year. My mum gives me some money as well so I’ll put that towards it.

Has anyone got one? Are they really kinder to hair? After years of using the same god awful hairdresser (family who’d take it personally if I changed) I changed (they did take it personally) and now my hair is in better condition than ever and I’ve been enjoying styling and looking after it more.

A iPhone for DS. Looking at either outright or as a contract. Will be shopping around.

JustWalkingTheDogs · 01/11/2024 07:00

I'm hoping for a good Glossier black Friday this year - I was really disappointed last year but a couple of years ago they did some really good deals and I love their skincare.

There are offers on the John Lewis website now that you get £100 back on certain electrical items. I bought the Dyson ID and it qualifies for this.

Is Black Friday today ?

KohlaParasaurus · 01/11/2024 08:27

I could do with a new vacuum cleaner but haven't chosen one yet. The other thing I've got my eye on is a particular model of sports shoe.

Nowt <party pooper> - desperately trying to cut down on generosity at Xmas, I’m half dead from the hordes of 21sts this year.

Yeah, that does sound like an expensive gifting year 😅

Nope it's the end of November but I know some shops are already releasing deals

Gone are the days of just a one or two day event 😆

Ooooh I've not personally tried Glossier yet but my cousin goes on and on about it. Any particular item you recommend for a thirty something who's developing fine lines...... 😤

A Thrustmaster Boeing yoke for Xbox (to play the Microsoft flight simulator game). Currently £350 and going halves with DS's Dad. Really hoping for a Black Friday bargain 🤞🏻

I know I'm wishful thinking but hoping for a deal on an x box! We wouldn't normally spend so much but DS is desperate as he's the only one of his friends without one, he's still playing a switch which he's had for 6 years now and is a bit young for him.
For me I'd like new pans!

From memory there was a great deal on an Xbox last year so fingers and toes crossed that's the case again for you! Dreading the day my DC are of a games console age 😅

Paperwhite raspberry. Also planning to look at dossier sale

Well I've now decided I too need a walking pad 😆
Looking for new knifes.

Honestly I'm so time poor I never get a chance to get out for a good long walk - hate the gym, so my solution is obviously spend money and buy a walking pad I can use while working or doing my cross stitching 🤓

Would love a kindle colour for Christmas, husband has said if I can get it on offer I can have one! I don't need one I have a paperwhite signature but just would love one.

Amazon do a trade in… So if you were willing to give up the Paperwhite, you’d get a money off the colour. In my eyes that’s still an offer 😉

OP don't get hot wheels, it's all awful, doesn't fit together, unclicks, flimsy. Get speedtrack instead.

Funnily enough we have a speed track and my DC love it!

But my MIL bought my youngest Hot Wheels for their birthday so now both of them fight over it and want more and you're right, so flimsy!

It might just have to magically end up in a donation bag pre-Christmas I reckon...

I've got my eye on three items.

I'd love one of the Ninja double drawer air fryers. Kicking myself I didn't buy one on an eBay deal last month.

Need a good quality mattress topper for DD's bed at her student house as her mattress is rubbish this year.

New suitcases.

It's expensive! To be fair to DS he's actually only asked for a second hand X box one which is what his friends have. Considering they're £150 used and at some point soon will be obsolete as new games won't be compatible I'm going to surprise him with the newest model, at least then we should get a good few years out of. I figure by the time that needs replacing he'll be old enough for a Saturday job 😂

oh wow a beauty fridge sounds fancy

just an overflow / booze fridge 😁

Yeah only something like this, so hopefully will come down in price for Black friday

I have had a Dyson air wrap that DP bought for me about 3 years ago & I have to admit other than using the hair dryer (old hair dryer packed up) I don’t ever use it. The curls don’t hold at all no matter what I do, I leant it to my SIL as she wanted one & she also didn’t like it so it saved her the money. I still just use a straighter or more recently I bought the GHD hot brush.

i am the same with the shark equivalent. It’s just a bloody expensive hairdryer. I went back to my babyliss big brush to finish it off.

SIL went for the Revlon one step hair dryer which she really likes, she got it on offer while back as well. The Dyson is definitely overrated imo.
