Sugar free mints like a polo, but with a sort of dent rather than a hole.

Does anyone remember these and know what they were called?
Craving them for some reason, so if you know of something similar that would be great too.

Were they Trebor?

Glittertwins · 28/10/2024 11:15

I was thinking Trebor too but not sure if they ever did sugar free.

hexsnidgett · 28/10/2024 11:16

I don't think so, green packet and the mint was very smooth, not the texture of an extra strong mint.

Certs, the American mints are like that but not sure they were ever sold in the UK.

ThereIsATInWater · 28/10/2024 11:19

I think they were trebor spearmint.
Have a Google image look.

Butterflystar76 · 28/10/2024 11:19

that's the old Trebor mints (but i never had sugar free) from the 70s. I miss them. Better than polos and way better than the extra strong mints version they only do now.

Jigsawpuzzled · 28/10/2024 11:21

Omg I don't know what they were but also loved them. You could suck until the middle disappeared and got a sharp little hole.

Needmorelego · 28/10/2024 11:22

I know exactly the ones you mean @hexsnidgett but I can't think of the name 😂

Rooftileswithmoss · 28/10/2024 11:23

Yes definitely Trebor. Loved them.

beetr00 · 28/10/2024 11:24

I think they were Coolmints too Butterflystar76

TinselAngel · 28/10/2024 11:26

They were Trevor mints, they came in the same flavour as polos too, not just in spearmint.

TinselAngel · 28/10/2024 11:26

Trebor not Trevor!

Needmorelego · 28/10/2024 11:28

@RomeoRivers I just found the same add and was figuring out how to share the link 😂

I found that out the hard way 😳

kab89 · 28/10/2024 11:56

I used to like Clorets. The sugarfree ones were white squares with a dent in the middle. The ones with sugar were the same shape but an opaque green colour.

BeachRide · 28/10/2024 11:57

Definitely 'Trebor mints are a minty bit stronger!' Not the modern extra strong ones, just the 7p peppermint ones. Delicious.

Whilst we're talking about it - why don't spearmint POLOs have the little blue specks in them anymore?
