Sugar free mints like a polo, but with a sort of dent rather than a hole.

Does anyone remember these and know what they were called?
Craving them for some reason, so if you know of something similar that would be great too.

Velamints? Advert was "velamints take the sugar out, so you can really taste the mint. cool refreshing velamints"

hexsnidgett · 28/10/2024 12:00

They were definitely white and round.

@hexsnidgett trebor mints are completely different to extra strong and are the ones you’re thinking of

Coolmints were what came to mind for me too.

ThePinkFrenchFancyPlease · 28/10/2024 15:26

I loved these too, but can’t remember what they were called - their texture was quite unlike other mints, very smooth in the mouth, and with that not-quite-a-hole in the middle.

Definitely 'Trebor mints are a minty bit stronger!' Not the modern extra strong ones, just the 7p peppermint ones. Delicious.

Whilst we're talking about it - why don't spearmint POLOs have the little blue specks in them anymore?

Robert Mints are a minty bit backwards.

Coolmints. I munched through a whole pack when they were launched. Regretted that, obviously, never having experienced the effects of sorbitol before.

Blingismything · 28/10/2024 20:21

Coolmints. With a warning that they could cause diarrhoea.

PensivePencil · 28/10/2024 21:03

Argh, I know what you mean too, like a refresher size / shape? Defo not trebor

I'm sure they weren't Trebor either. No sorbitol as I would happily cane a pack in one go and they predated sugar free polos (why I have such a specific memory of this I don't know)

@PensivePencil @Jigsawpuzzled
Trebor do state in their website they are one of their former brands…see screenshot above.

Although of course there may have been another mint also called cool mint?
