Hi @MyrtleLion I said I would let you know the process I used to get yesterday's answer.
I always start by looking at the format of the first sentence (or two) to see if it gives any clues. I try to identify where the target word or words might be located and look either side of that for words that might be is/was, a/an, the, as these all give clues. The more you do it, the more familiar you become with the patterns in the Wikipedia pages so it does become easier.
Yesterday, even though the answer was 4 letters, there were no four letter words in the beginning of the first sentence. It's unusual not to locate the target word somewhere in the beginning of the first sentence - the first word was three letters, which is usually "the" and that was followed by four words of differing lengths before the brackets. That made me think the answer might be an acronym of those four words. I guessed that the fifth word might be organisation, and if it was, NATO, was the first (and only!) four letter acronym ending in organisation that I could think of, so I gave it a try.
If I think I may have guessed some words, I usually just try to guess the answer rather than wasting words checking if I'm right about the other words. Sometimes it works and sometimes I'm right back to the drawing board.
I hope that makes sense, and helps a little, it's really hard to explain well!

That's a really good explanation, thank you!

@FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge yes I think that's how it works.

There are 20 squares and you have 12 green, 6 orange and 2 red so I think it's basically that you found 60% of the words on the page, got close matches for 30% and no hits for the last 10%.
