I don’t work within an industry remotely like yours so I have no practical advice here, but I can really feel the weight of this mistake is sitting heavy on your shoulders op. It’s a job, an important one I’m sure, but it’s job. You made a mistake, we all do. Take a deep breath and be kind to yourself. You simply cannot change what happened. Apologise, move on. Perhaps it’s worth looking for a lower stress job perhaps?
