The house next door has a “wild paradise”
in the back garden 😅😅 I bet that took some creative AI generation

goody2shooz · 14/10/2024 00:18

Blimey, the photographer took his life in his hands going into that shithole….

CryptoFascist · 14/10/2024 00:20

A fixer-upper?! More like a knocker-downer

OverthinkingOlive · 14/10/2024 00:23

Surely this place just needs tearing down!

This estate agent is something else…

’Hey there! Looking for a diamond in the rough? Well, have I got something for you! Let me paint you a picture of this 2-bedroom end of terrace house that’s just bursting with potential.’

I know! “In need of modernisation”. I wouldn’t have put it quite like that either.

Ellmau · 14/10/2024 00:28

They need completely gutting if not knocking down (the outside looks OK but the damp issues suggest it isn't). The pricing is optimistic. It's sealed bid offers so I bet they get well under the asking price, if they sell at all.

Get those bids in by Friday!

fridaynight1 · 14/10/2024 01:03

Yes, I saw a tap. We've done a fair few fixer uppers over the years but I do not like this house. The first photo of the outside gave me goosebumps, I was literally praying for a tap by picture 7. Didn't dare click on number 8.

Grumpycashier · 14/10/2024 01:34

Them fuckers are gonna collapse. They've cut off that bush off the front which was probably holding it up 🤣

Grumpycashier · 14/10/2024 01:36

Google street view it they've been like that since street view began and probably decades longer

starfishmummy · 14/10/2024 01:45

It does look like a tap. Given the range I'm guessing that was once the kitchen so maybe related to that. But still in an odd place

Attelina · 14/10/2024 02:06

Those photos have given me the heebie jeebies!

They need to be knocked down not done up.

Delphiniumandlupins · 14/10/2024 02:15

Check the sold prices for nearby houses. No 5 was on the market in October last year but must have not sold. No 7 is lovely and sold for £240k in April 2023. If I was closer to Nantwich (and a property developer) I would buy both the fixer uppers.

wulves · 13/10/2024 23:13

Pretty sure that one’s haunted. Picture 12 tells you all you need to know.

I live the two bottles if bleach. As if that's all it needs to spruce the place up! Grin

TheChippendenSpook · 14/10/2024 02:38

Love*

scarfaced · 14/10/2024 02:50

They’d have to pay ME £100k to take it off their hands.

I used to work for a real estate firm in California. The agents would ask me to write their ads for the paper (pre-internet) because they hated doing it.
Once there was a falling down, ramshackle mess of a two-story house that one of them had listed and I got very creative writing the ad.
The boss screamed at me (literally) for false advertising, blah blah blah, but it sold the following day, because of my ad.
I think people who have to do this all the time run out of ideas. lol

When I was living in Australia, a house in Sydney (I think) went up for auction, described in the listing/advert as 'a total shit hole '.

It sold (and then got demolished) 😁

HermoniePotter · 14/10/2024 22:13

Just a heads up, this house requires a full renovation. I’m talking from top to bottom, inside out. You name it, it needs fixing

No shit Sherlock 🤣

My gran had a tap like that it’s to get hot water from the boiler behind the fire.

It needs a new roof, new floors, new walls, new electrics, new boiler, new plumbing, new kitchen, new bathroom… you aren’t going to get all of that done for under £140k. Probably not even for £240k

There is literally no way to fix that house up without losing substantial amounts of money.

And also underpinning judging from all the cracks in the walls and bowing of the front wall

newyear2024 · 14/10/2024 22:43

It looks like a bell to me 🔔

OneFingerOneThumbKeepMoving · 14/10/2024 22:45

It actually gives me the creeps.

TentEntWenTyfOur · 14/10/2024 22:46

There's a couple of shovels in the garden in picture 12. They're gonna come in handy...
