I've not been on here long and I'm just curious as to what age most people are on here..

I'm 28 and I've been actively using mumsnet for about 2 months

Don't answer if you don't want to

OP posts:

I was about to answer this in good fait but seeing as the OP's post is their first post, not so much.

echt · 13/10/2024 07:55

Faith, but fait would do too, non?

34, 3 years! Joined when I was pregnant with DD and it was a godsend as a FTM.

Berga · 13/10/2024 07:58

43 and I joined in 2004. I remember when Mumsnet was so small we did postal secret Santa!

Name changed lots since then, but I see lots of posters who joined in 2005/6/7. I wonder how many of us would recognise each other with original usernames!

I also remember when first posts would elicit a round of welcomes rather than suspicion.

50 and 18 years! Yes I remember Cod, and Anyfucker
mumsnet isn’t as acid as it was in those days!

TokyoSushi · 13/10/2024 08:02

44, since 2007, googled something, MN came up, never looked back! Honestly had a really big influence on my life!

Sundaysundaybetterthanmonday · 13/10/2024 08:04

50s and nearly 17 years! When I found out I was pregnant with DD

Same. Be wary of giving out information that can be used to build your identity.

Seagall · 13/10/2024 08:05

MN may have been acid, but that sharpness was tempered with intelligence and wisdom.

AIBU ruined mumsnet although probably made it more popular

Carsarelife · 13/10/2024 08:06

52 and about 15 years

AngelasEyelash · 13/10/2024 08:06

I'm 60 and I must have been here 20+ years - the halcyon days of cutted up pear, sweetcorn vomit and smashed lemon drizzle cake.

Seagall · 13/10/2024 08:07

Firstshoes · 13/10/2024 06:53

53, joined in 2003 so 21 years ...eek! Anyone remember Cod?

Yes me. We bonded over Paula Radcliffe.

2Old2Tango · 13/10/2024 08:11

I see lots of posts on here asking personal questions - how old are you; where do you live; how did you come up with your username; show me a picture of your dog/cat/goldfish. I'm surprised that some users are so quick to give out their information.

Nannyfannybanny · 13/10/2024 08:12

73, and about 5 years.

I think I must have originally joined in about 2004, when I was trying for my third baby.

Me too under lots of different names.

Me too these days!

I had the same name for the first 12ish years with seasonal/event name changes, but now too many weird things happen so name change a lot!

blondieminx · 13/10/2024 08:42

45 & 16 years.

particularly grateful for the miscarriage and elderly parents boards. and the relationships board too. Had so much good & supportive advice through the years here.

WireItBackToZero · 13/10/2024 08:44

Now 50, joined in 2006 when Ds2 was born so 18 years.

Although it has changed a lot over the years I still find it brings me joy so I am still here. I do tend to avoid AIBU though as the vitriol is high.

Totally.

it was sharpe, but not bitchy & petty.

MN's desire to be hitting the headlines took over, that bloody beaker thread.. that's when it changed.

ExitPursuedByABare · 13/10/2024 10:14
  1. Joined 18 years ago.

It was a lot of fun back then.
