Full of cold/covid and need a movie to watch ideally with a good twist. Nothing sad though please!

The Handmaiden Korean film based on Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. I actually gasped out loud at the twist. So clever!

As a couple of PP's have said, The Others. It is very under-your-skin eerie!

Tezza1 · 30/09/2024 21:46

@SocksRocks "Usual suspects". I love that so much. Copied so many times, but never bettered.

bifurCAT · 30/09/2024 21:50

Knock knock

Tezza1 · 30/09/2024 21:52

@Threeaubergines "Sleuth". No - it must be the original with Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine (1972). Oh, and Alec Cawthorne - ho, ho.

Moon does have a twist, it's a great film!

I'd add The Mist too, what a twist

TheNameIsDickDarlington · 30/09/2024 21:55

Predestination starring Ethan Hawke. I don't think it's massively well known but it's absolutely brilliant.

Chumpfriend · 30/09/2024 21:57

Parasite

JadeSeahorse · 30/09/2024 21:59

An old one from 1980 but "Dressed to kill," has a great twist.

Triangle of Sadness

LaVitesse2022 · 30/09/2024 22:07

Second The Others, Fracture, Seven.

SwishMyCape · 30/09/2024 22:08

Oh my gosh Parasite will never never leave me. See also Requiem for a Dream

Lol at Oliver!

Not a twist necessarily but if you want suspense The Talented Mr Ripley and my goodness the style!!

Also The Beguiled

I read the book almost as soon as it came out and was sat up in bed reading it thinking "Just another chapter and then I'll sleep." It was about 1am and I got to the twist. Like yu I gasped out loud. I didn't get much sleep that night.
