What toy do you refuse to allow in the house?

Here it’s slime. There’s no need for it and it’s just a load of mess. I don’t want it all mashed into the carpet which my 9 year old would do. He is the type who would also leave it somewhere, then staining and ruining stuff

@BarbadosItsCloserThanYouThink water pistols, nerf guns, paint ball......those in general are ok.
It's toy guns like this. Do you really want children doing imagination play with these?

@BarbadosItsCloserThanYouThink idk how to write this without it sounding condescending, so instead I'll just say that I really don't mean this to sound impolite so please read it in a nice/helpful way...Is that a rhetorical question or something that you're genuinely not understanding? I can just often easily understand someones viewpoint even if it doesn't match mine....but perhaps this isn't the same for you?

I'm genuinely interested in the view point. I see shelves and shevles of multi coloured Nerf guns in stores so they must be incredibly popular. You see merchandise for Nerf. It doesn't look like a real gun.
I can guess what peoples views are on things that look real.

@BarbadosItsCloserThanYouThink with toy guns I see the difference as in what the "aim of the game" is - if you get what I mean.
Water guns - the game is to get your rival soaking wet. When I was a child if you didn't have an actual water pistol you uses an empty washing up liquid bottle. I see kids today using water bottles with the top you can squirt with.
Nerf guns - the aim is to hit your rival with soft foam things. To score them "out" of the game or to hit a certain target and gain points.
Paint ball guns are basically the same idea.
But a toy gun that looks like an actual modern gun.....the point of those type of guns is to kill (other people or animals). That's the aim of the game. To kill.
If your lifestyle includes guns (ie you're a farmer, or military etc) children should be taught from an early age that guns are not toys. They should be only ever used after you have been trained and in certain circumstances.
When a child is old enough they could be taken to proper shooting ranges and learn how to use and control a gun. But no child ever needs to run around playing game that's basically "bang bang you're dead".

Peppa Pig. Awful character, awful graphics, just awful.

I'll take all the glitter, playdough and slime in the world to avoid that cartoon.
