I didn't start cooking until really late and did a very healthy casserole rather than the easier option of cheese on toast.

Watching love rats on Netflix with a cup of tea 🐀🐀🐀 (can't find a rat emoji)

Made my tea for tomorrow, sorted sandwiches for work and just watched the Lauren gooder talking about her life like a pod cast. She seems lovely and it's nice of her to open up and in a way it will help others.

Golly, I'm so sorry to hear that@BanksysSprayCan How terribly sad. No words.🍁

Thank you, I’m trying to process the news. I only found out around nine pm, and it was an unexpected death.

ParrotsAteThemAll · 20/09/2024 02:53

On my break on a night shift, just eaten some prawn cocktail crisps and a piece of cake my lovely colleague made. Roll on 8am, my bed is calling,

ThorndonCream · 20/09/2024 02:55

I'm at lunch and working in New Zealand. It's Friday afternoon here.

I've just submitted my MSc dissertation! So stress, so paranoid that I've gotten something wrong, so wired how will I ever sleep

Littletinytarzanswingingfromanosehair · 20/09/2024 03:01

I was completing an assignment after a full days work up until 9:30pm, now brain can't switch off and I need to be up at 6am to ready to start work at 8am. I'm WFH like but I could honestly sob. I'm going to feel like shit in 3hrs.

Wartywartyyukyuk · 20/09/2024 03:03

My rental house fell through today (we were due to move in 2 weeks), and so I am desperately scrabbling to find somewhere for us to move to. Worried about us being homeless and so can’t sleep.

vodkaredbullgirl · 20/09/2024 03:04

Night shift, been trying to do care plans and not getting very far. Having a break outside to clear my head.

USaYwHatNow · 20/09/2024 03:04

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and my husband jokingly said 'dont snore tonight please, we've got a busy day tomorrow!' so obviously he's spent the night fucking snoring and I've given up and gone into the spare room.

NewYearNewMeMamma · 20/09/2024 03:11

I'm up breastfeeding my 14m old. He's still feeding around 5 times a night. A quick feed and straight back off to sleep. But I wake up too much and take a while to settle back down 😭 Hence being on here at this time.

Just finished breastfeeding my 6 week old and now keeping him upright for a bit before putting him back down - any tips for one handed breastfeeding gratefully received as at the mo I seem to be using one arm/hand to support his body/head and the other hand to hold my boob in place as otherwise he slips off the latch!

Best of luck. I I know how uncomfortable that can be. How you get sorted 🤗

crippling anxiety and insomnia. Watching my 4 month old sleep happily and wondering if I need to change my AD meds.

imverynosey · 20/09/2024 03:44

Up pumping milk for baby who is at nanas tonight x

TheUndoing · 20/09/2024 03:50

I’m on the postnatal ward with my first baby. He was born on Saturday but we’ve been kept in so he can be treated for jaundice. I’m climbing the walls, the ward is like the bloody 7th circle, I just want to go home with my baby.

Notnowbarnaby · 20/09/2024 03:55

I’ve got Covid and have woken up with a raging fever feeling properly fluey - this new strain is brutal.
i need to try to get some sleep but have grim nausea and headache/body aches which is making it difficult.

congrats @theundoing I’m so sorry you’re still on the ward they seemed to be designed to drive you insane

Was lying awake worrying about my DS who told me he is being bullied at school. Have finally got up to watch some mind numbing tv as a distraction. Been trying to avoid the horror that is MAFS but am about to succumb to it.

Yougetmoreofwhatyoufocuson · 20/09/2024 04:06

I’m on my 3:30 to 5:30 awake window. I’m retired so I don’t need to fight it, I have a cup of camomile tea and read or scroll, then get another hour of sleep and on with my day.

topflower123 · 20/09/2024 04:10

Recently had hand surgery and it’s tender so just staying up 😭 feels more relaxing to just sit in bed cosily than forcing myself to sleep atm

I'm in an airport abroad, with another 4 hours till my flight back to the UK. Been awake 22 hours so far. Hoping to sleep on the plane. Loving my adventure though.

I hope you enjoyed your casserole!

Ooh, where you been?

I'm awake because I woke at 3.30am for no reason I know of and haven't been able to get back to sleep.

Lookingforaneedleinanhaystack · 20/09/2024 04:13

Yes! I had the same issue with my little one. We've co slept since birth and I found the best position for this is laying down on your side with baby next to you. My baby naturally seemed to latch and feed really well like this and we still feed a lot like this now. Even if you're not co sleeping, I'd definitely try this position if it's an option! He might just need a bit of guidance to begin because he's so young and small
