I wouldn’t be in the job I’m in today.

I live in a city where the pay is not good. Now because hybrid working is such a huge thing I can work in a different city.

Wouldn't of had not one, but two breakdowns because of huge workload increases due to knock on effects of COVID and delayed trauma of trying to work full time and educate 2 young kids.

On the plus, I really value now working at home 3-4 days a week. I would never go back to working in an office full time. Such a waste of time and money on commuting.

My son might be on a totally different career path with better mental health.

Would've been able to give my dad a decent send off, instead of having to sit 6ft apart and not being able to get together with family afterwards. It was seriously shit :(

Dd self esteem would be rock bottom, she would probably not be able too read, and not want to access education.
The years out meant I could work with her and bring her up to where she should be with flexible approach. She went back to school a different happier, girl.

I wouldn't have the career I have now. I accidentally went from being a low-level administrator to project-managing the Covid response in the company I worked for and discovered a flair and a passion for logistics and project management, as well as developing a confidence in my own abilities that I never would have found otherwise.

Lockdowns were a terrible time for me in many ways, but in a strange way I will always be grateful to Covid for what it gave me professionally.
