Dd is 27 now . But she was funny as a child /teen

  1. we were in the shopping centre she was crying/tantrum shouting you have not fed me for 6 weeks.

  2. she she was about 3 and said to an old lady you have lines , your old, are you going to die soon.

  3. when I told her I didn't see it. I don't have eyes at the back of my head . She cried and said but you said you did.

  4. when dd was around 15 and her sister was around 2. I whispered it's a secret to dd2 dd then 15 asked dd 2 what did mum say to you dd 2 kept saying its a secrete (which is what I had said) dd15 was so pissed off.

  5. I told dd the gurkin was the head office for anne summers ... and she told people at college.

  6. dd was around 19 . She thought life insurance meant you could not die

How do you even remember these minor things?

BobbyBiscuits · 15/09/2024 21:02

Well it sounds like silly things a child or teen might do. Why did you say the thing about ann summers? It's a building, it could feasibly be the headquarters for any company? It just sounds like you were trying to get her to say something embarrassing which is a bit childish on your part.

I don't know. I thought it was normal? I thought everyone remembered little things their kids said or did

What a mean spirited and random thread.

Dustybrain · 15/09/2024 21:13

You know what life has been absolutely hell for me for many years . I posted something that has made me and dd laugh when we have reflected on it . I shared it on here to cheer myself up and all I get is nastiness . What have I done to deserve that .

This is just unkind and the sort of thing a playground bully does. Sharing nasty things you have done to your daughter and laughing at her expense isn’t going to get people saying anything nice.

Maybe change the title to "funny things your dc did when they were little?"

Namechangejustincase24 · 15/09/2024 21:19

Different people find different things funny OP.

They do but there's no need for nasty comments .

I don't think that will make a difference now first few posts always set the tone of the thread don't they . Thank you though

Mumsnet is a hellhole! I've met some nasty people in my life but some of the posters here are worse.
Tho when I read the comments you can tell the poster is just bitter and twisted and no sense of reality.
So... Best just to scroll on past to the nice people 🥰

No she didn't, not at age 19.

It seems you'll end up on her list of things she wound her mum up about, and she fell for Wink

Namechangejustincase24 · 15/09/2024 21:25

I was just asking because my DC say a lot of ‘funny’ things everyday, I can’t remember them the next week never mind when they are 27.

JacquelineShit · 15/09/2024 21:26

The Gherkin/Anne Summers thing is funny though, considering the building looks like a sex toy 🤭 🍆

I had one used to run away from me at the shopping centre shouting “you’re not my mum!” He thought it was hilarious. 😬

I remember when my 32 year old was about 4 and he tried to use the phrase "Schoolboy error".

Except he thought it was "Schoolboy Eric" and we still bring it up to this day! 🤣

Some random things you never forget.

Didn't think the secret thing was funny

Different families, different situations. different humour

We had one of those too -the famous athlete Linford Christie was known in our house as ‘Lympic Christie for several years.

You've just brought back a childhood memory.

For most of my childhood I thought the actress Raquel Welch was called 'Racko Weltch'.

Might've been something to do with my mum's Irish accent though 🤭

My DS once said that babies were like tiny little vegetarians but then they turned into normal people😆. I only remember because it comes up on Facebook memories every year.
