Has anyone tried them? Did you have Quiet, Engage or Experience and did they work well for you?

watching with interest!

Plump82 · 09/09/2024 20:51

I have the quiet ones and wasn't impressed I'm afraid. I could still hear my husband snoring. They also really hurt and fall out. I've experimented with the different sizes of buds but I'm sticking to my cheapies from Amazon which do a much better job.

BeMintBee · 09/09/2024 20:51

I’m just about to order the engage so I can use them for work/in restaurants. My colleague wears them and has found them to be a real game changer.

TinnedTina · 09/09/2024 20:52

Yes! I have to use ear plugs nightly due to noisy neighbour so I bought the Quiet ones. Worth every penny of the £24 I paid.
I was using the squishy wax ones and they just felt grim and a bit unhealthy.
I think key to loop ones is getting the right size. They don’t fall out ( of my ears anyhow!) and the little case is really useful too. Just a well thought out product really! HTH

fruitpastille · 09/09/2024 20:59

I can't get them to go in my ears properly. I didn't want to spend more on the xxs buds in case they still don't fit. I think I have weirdly small ears though. Dd likes them luckily.

Pancakewaffle · 09/09/2024 20:59

Yes!

I ordered the Quiet ones but they're not good enough to drown out my husband's snoring so I sent them back.

I use the Engage for working in the house with DC around (looked after by someone else) and they are a gamechanger. I can still hear music I choose to put on but I can't hear the howling in the next room

VictoryOrDeath · 09/09/2024 21:06

I've got all 3 😄 - Quiets for WFH (although I use my AirPods instead if I want noise cancelling), Engages for odd times when I find places too loud, and Experiences for concerts.

I quite like them all, but they're probably expensive for what they are.

User4374 · 09/09/2024 21:07

I got the kids ones first and loved them. Lost them though, and replaced with an adult pair and the smallest size hurts if they are in too long. Though allegedly the biggest kids and smallest adults size are the same.

Raincloud32 · 09/09/2024 21:08

I've got the quiet 2 ones and recommend

coffeeandsleep · 09/09/2024 21:12

I’ve got the quiet ones to help drown out husband snoring. It’s effective as blocking most of it out, but if I put one in at a weird angle, it does hurt slightly the next morning for a bit

Tigerbreadbum · 09/09/2024 21:13

I have switch (can swap between all the modes)
They are good but I’m not sure they are as good as all the hype. I use them when I’m in the office as I’ve got adhd and easily distracted. It took me a lot of swapping the sizes and getting used to them to find them comfortable

FancyRedRobin · 09/09/2024 21:19

I've got the quiet and they really help me get sleep if there's noise outside. I find them very comfortable, the best I've tried.

PhilsMajicHat · 09/09/2024 21:25

Would any of these drown out thudding noises of next doors kidding running about, and general kid noises through the walls?

VictoryOrDeath · 09/09/2024 21:41

@PhilsMajicHat, I'd say, Yes, to a certain degree, but you could just try basic Boots ones or similar first. If you need more, then noise cancelling earphones would help.

PussInBin20 · 09/09/2024 21:53

I got the ones for concerts. I thought they were good. Got them for Taylor Swift but we actually didn’t use them for her but I’m glad I had them for the support acts as they were much louder for some reason - almost painful.

RandomMess · 09/09/2024 21:54

Very disappointed with quiet ones too.

FloofPaws · 09/09/2024 22:00

My DD 16 uses Flares as she found them better than Loops, she uses them for sensory processing disorder so it filters out certain sound pitches

cannaethink · 09/09/2024 22:55

I tried the quiet 2 but found them uncomfortable for sleeping. It was the loop bit that bothered me. They refunded me no problem and said to keep them, so I’d say they are worth a try.

This matches my experience. They help me sleep through the snoring and are comfortable enough to wear all night (with smallest buds on).

Also love the case. Great product.

ButterAsADip · 09/09/2024 22:59

Got some a few years ago, never made any difference to me.

Storytimetime · 09/09/2024 23:00

They’re crap

Fupoffyagrasshole · 09/09/2024 23:02

I want some to drown out snoring husband but still need to hear my baby in same room and toddler down the hall - is it possible with any of these or am I just doomed 🙈🤣

I'm a fan ! I have Engage for those occasions when ambient noise can be overwhelming (I get really rattled in a noisy environment) and Experience for travel / late night parties in the neighbourhood etc. I find they fit well (smallest bud) They were worth the cost as far as I'm concerned.

DroopyTulips · 09/09/2024 23:18

I use the Quiet earplugs for times when I really need to concentrate at work as they block out the kinds of sounds that I get distracted by, like other people's conversations, the radio, etc. I have ADHD and am very distractible, but they mute everything enough for me to concentrate only on what I'm doing.

I've not tried them to sleep in and wonder how good they are at cutting out the noise of snoring.
