I do believe that the word 'cheesybob' meaning wood louse, originates from my current home town.

From my Scottish upbringing, I like;

Swedge = sweet (as in confectionery)
Is he/she strange? = often asked of babies and means "is he/she ok with being held by strangers?"
Dreich = dank, dismal weather conditions
Ya jobby = (literal) you shit
Hink = think
Messages = shopping
Piece = sandwich
