I want to tell my mum stop using her finger to wipe her plate!!

I'm really just venting. My mum has been staying with me a few days.

She is currently eating a sandwich and is using her finger to wipe up crumps/ sauce and licking her finger. It is disgusting. It makes me feel a bit sick. She also makes a LOT of noise while she eats, that she probably can't help. But the finger thing is not necessary.

I know if I say something she'll say she doesn't lol

I hate bad table manners with a passion from anyone. Yes, I'm a snob and I don't care if others think so.

Think this is a you problem OP.

I had a relative that used to bring a toothpick out with them and pick their teeth after a meal while we were all still eating, either at home or in a restaurant. Now that is gross! We avoided eating with them whenever possible.

Picking up crumbs/escaped food on your own plate with a finger is pretty normal.

I think you must be related to my ex husband! 🤮🤮

Why do you invite her to eat with you when it's obvious how much you dislike her?
You would hate me. I give my dog my plate to lick clean 😂

@Flopsythebunny

i can't say I'd hate you, but I'd never eat at yours again.

@newbornandbreast (& quite a few others)
it's probably a good idea to remove that stick!!

so what? She licked her finger.

id lick my finger at home & I've got a nasty suspicion I'd do it in a cafe or a friends house, I may have even done it at a party a couple of weeks ago (Georgeous halloumi & tomato skewers with a garlic dressing. I think I may have swipe ld the dripped dressing & licked my finger🤷🏻‍♀️. I was sitting with my friend and im
off to my regular lunch date with her on Friday so if I did, she doesn't seem bothered by it.

it is my perfectly clean finger, I licked it, I didn't suck on it... failing to get your horror.

@needsomewarmsunshine

People claim to be a snob to make themselves feel better than everyone else.

She opened her yoghurt, ate a spoonful or 2, got chatting and used her spoon to scratch about at her vulva (over the trousers, but still..) then carry on eating her yoghurt with the same spoon.

My standards are fairly low in general, but that was too far even for me.

@FatmanandKnobbin

i was assuming I'd misunderstood your first post. Apparently not. Just WTAF??

I have never ever thought someone would find that gross. This thread is an eye opener!!

@DrunkTinkerbell40s
