Just curious.

i sadly thought the arrests would come to nothing a couple of years ago, but it sucked to be right.

I'm all for raising awareness and I feel very uncomfortable about the level of publicity (and money) thrown at the MM case compared to this one.

However I feel very uncomfortable to read speculation about what might have happened to Andrew Gosden. None of us can possibly know, we might have our own theories but putting them on a public forum must be upsetting for those who knew and loved him

These theories about Lee Boxell and AG are very public knowledge, as I said the person I’ve spoke about in the AG has gone to the press publicly, I am not naming names. If it helps, AG dad specifically avoids the subreddit and forums online which talk about theories. I would suggest avoiding the subreddit and true crime boards/ true crime related threads on here if talking about possible outcomes and theories upsets you.

I certainly wouldn't go on the true crime boards, but I often read threads in chat. It's not that I personally find speculation upsetting, more that I feel uneasy about people posting theories when none of us know what happened, because it could be upsetting for the actual family and friends involved.

However I completely agree with raising awareness and it doesn't sit right with me that some cases are publicised prolifically while others just seem to be forgotten.

Fair, I will probably ask this to be moved to the true crime board, I am new to MN.

yes, I will say AG is the poster boy for missing people, so while not super famous like MM it’s somewhat well known. The arrests which sadly led to nothing raised more awareness. That said, I’m unsurprised a few people have never heard of him. It’s certainly not publicised enough.

Totally disagree. There's no disrespect on this thread and how are these types of crime ever solved if the names aren't kept in the public thoughts but swept under some metaphorical rug.

If for no other purpose that to make people aware that they and their DC are not safe just going about their day and the police are likely to not even properly look into any trouble you may run into.

Then say his name. Start a thread highlighting people who are still missing. Lobby your MP. Support relevant charities.

starting a thread inviting people to speculate what happened to a missing child is just intrusive and insensitive
