My work occasionally gives us a budget of £15 to buy ourselves something nice.
Stipulation is, it has to be edible/drinkable, and non-alcoholic.

What would you spend £15 on? (Postage can go on top of the £15 too!)

Would love some inspiration Cake

I’d buy £15 worth of Galaxy chocolate. Minstrels, Ripple etc.

murasaki · 15/08/2024 15:44

Cheese.

bryceQ · 15/08/2024 15:45

Russell and Sywell chocolate is lovely

bryceQ · 15/08/2024 15:45

Atwell*

Theimpossiblegirl · 15/08/2024 15:46

An M&S meal for two.
You could get the soft drink or just not mention the wine.

wildthingsinthenight · 15/08/2024 15:46

Nice chocolate and a good book
Or an expensive ish lipstick

MattDamon · 15/08/2024 15:47

Takeaways are so expensive. I'd get a £15 Just Eat gift card.

Singleandproud · 15/08/2024 15:48

Posh chocolates and then buy myself which ever book I've been hankering after ( or read one of the 2 billion on my To Read pile)

Misorchid · 15/08/2024 15:48

Chocolate Violet creams

Bjorkdidit · 15/08/2024 15:48

Cheese would be a good one, you could pick something more expensive than standard supermarket stuff and it would feel like a real treat.

Or some sushi and sashimi from Sushi Daily if you don't have a good independent nearby. Feels quite indulgent and not something you might buy if it was your own money.

PolaroidPrincess · 15/08/2024 15:48

A lovely box of Booja Booja of it was just for me Wink

Meadowwild · 15/08/2024 15:49

What a shame it has to be edible or drinkable. I'd have gone for flowers, a gorgeous notebook or good hand soap.

I'd probably buy really good quality tea and coffee, or a fresh fruit basket, or some jars of fancy deli stuff - good olives, nuts, artichokes and roast peppers in oil.

Or just virgin olive oil. It costs a fortune now!

Oceangreyscale · 15/08/2024 15:51

booja booja hazelnut and chocolate ice cream. And good coffee.

StarryDance · 15/08/2024 15:52

Cake.

TankFlyBoss · 15/08/2024 15:55

All the smoked salmon

Turophilic · 15/08/2024 16:01

Baron Bigod cheese
Some individual cakes from Betty’s
Coffee beans from Monmouth Coffee Co
Biscuits and tea leaves from Fortnum and Mason

AdaColeman · 15/08/2024 16:02

Chicken Cordon Bleu and a box of afternoon tea cream cakes, all from M&S, and cost exactly £15!
Lovely!

DiscoBeat · 15/08/2024 16:04

Books are not edible.

I would get some nice fish or seafood on the way home for supper, or a fillet steak.

JustSayNoNo · 15/08/2024 16:06

Cheese! With all the nice bits to go with it

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 15/08/2024 16:07

I'd go to the new cheese shop and choose some good bread, and lots of cheese.

Normallynumb · 15/08/2024 16:08

A large Camembert and an assortment to dip in when it's baked
Dessert
Chocolate

PolaroidPrincess · 15/08/2024 16:08

Books are not edible
Sounds like there's a gap in the market Wink

PragmaticDramatic · 15/08/2024 16:11

Id do a mini shop at Waitrose and buy two of their format fish fingers and some of their ciabatta roll for an elevated fish ginger sarnie and then I would treat myself to stuff from the bakery counter and some nice chocolate.
