What treat would you buy with £15?

My work occasionally gives us a budget of £15 to buy ourselves something nice.
Stipulation is, it has to be edible/drinkable, and non-alcoholic.

What would you spend £15 on? (Postage can go on top of the £15 too!)

Would love some inspiration Cake

Are you public sector op? Just trying to understand why they are stipulating what you spend it on. If I had a bonus £15 I'd put it towards a nice face cream. In your situation I'd buy a steak.

I don't think any public sector employer would do this sort of thing full stop.

TigerRag · 15/08/2024 16:17

Some nice fresh fish or a steak

What part of the public sector gives out gifts??

longdistanceclaraclara · 15/08/2024 16:33

I wondered if it was a client incentive which have strict rules. Seems odd to give a monetised gift with stipulations.

Well they could just give them a 15 quid voucher and let them spend it on whatever they like?

DurhamDurham · 15/08/2024 16:52

A nice sourdough loaf
Strong cheddar
Tasty chutney
A tomato if there was any change Grin

Roundaboot · 15/08/2024 16:52

A bottle of olive oil is a really good idea. It is horribly expensive now for anything half decent, and it would last a while too.

I would probably go for cheese and a loaf of fresh, crusty bread

Sunnyside4 · 15/08/2024 16:55

OP, what do you really enjoy?

For me, I'd say quality chocolate or something that involved fish, so either be given to me as part of work order or a voucher for M&S or Waitrose to choose

Clingfilm · 15/08/2024 17:15

Leg of lamb/joint of beef.

BeaLola · 15/08/2024 17:16

If it must be edible but not alcoholic then I would go for

Raspberry yum doughnut from M&S one a week til I used the £15

Gordal pitted olives - biggest tin within budget

Posh coffee ice cream

Fresh crabmeat from M&S

Carluccios balsamic vinegar

M&S peking duck

If you could negotiate on to non edibles 🙃 well where do I start ....

Books
Stationery
Potted orchid
Badedas bubble bath
Bath oil
Spacemasks
Etc etc
