I have taken 2 pics one is older but its just to show the room. The single bed is no longer there it's the double bed under the window.

Money is short so I need to work with what I have . Although I may buy just one ikea type storage.

I have shown a picture of a coloured wall theses are the colors i have that I can use . But ( no) blue

Couple things to note is is will be ds 9 room . He can't make his own choices for how the room will be .

No clothes are kept in the room.

I want it yo feel like a happy child's room

Online home shop is really cheap for accessories, bedding etc. I got the curtains and rug for my son's room out of there and was happy with the quality. www.onlinehomeshop.com/kids-room/kids-accessories-decor

I'd go for yellow walls if you want happy, then decorate with covers/posters/rug, don't add in stripes or circles or stuff that will quickly get annoying. Maybe a plant or 2 if DS might like that. My boys always found plants quite calming.

You have some great suggestions here.

My ideas are -

Colour block would probably be better than a busy pattern in a smaller room.

If doing a whole wall pattern/shapes eg stripes, diagonals, circles etc then I would dilute the colour intensity by mixing white to tone down a bit.

An example is attached- a sunbeam pattern but in more subdued but still joyful colours.

Happy painting!

That's lovely. Beautiful colours and very restful for a bedroom.

I bought a duvet cover and king sheets, decent quality and clean, for 17 quid all in...just have to be on it because they go quickly. In shops these cost 87 altogether Xxx

Wall stickers from Temu are great.
