In the heatwave? DH is keen to get in a last minute holiday before the schools get back but I don't think I could face the heat. menopausal also, so hot enough most of the time!

In Greece currently so 32-35

Villa with own pool - which we spend a lot of time in!
Swimming, floating in a ring, sitting on plastic chairs, eating, drinking, reading a book - all in water

Air con in every room - fabulous
Lots of cold drinks in the fridge

We are in Italy, farmhouse villa with thick walls and two pools, one is kept extremely cold and one is normal temp.
We have a butler who comes out with a tray of chilled towels every hour and a frozen water spritz.
There are also special fans strategically placed around for us with ice blasts.
The farm house walls and expecially cold air con is really helping us to stay chilled. We also get frozen melon served.

🥵🥵🥵🥵 couldn't think of anything worse. Anything over 16°C is too hot IMO. Cannot tolerate heat.

Sorry I was being silly, I'm not away just yet and absolutely dreading next week , I've worked hard to get a hotel with air con.

You could take me with you. Guaranteed cold and rain 🤣🤣. We are ridiculously unlucky with holiday weather. Fortunately we usually go on city breaks with an emphasis on food and wine, so the sun isn't as important as on a beach holiday 😳

I would op. I'm at home recovering from an operation and I'd give my right arm to be somewhere hot in Europe! As long as there is a pool and air conditioning.

I am also menopausal but on HRT so night sweats pretty much under control.

I was in Italy when it was 40 2yrs ago and pre-HRT then. I remember getting up in the night for cold showers, but I still loved it.

I'm so looking forward to the heat this weekend in the UK.

Where in Europe? Stockholm is honestly not that bad at the moment.

We went to Iceland last summer and it was warm and sunny the whole time we were there! Hotter than the UK was!

Brittany or Normandy? Sea breezes make it more pleasant.

I’m going to Whitstable next week for my holiday, and the forecast is 25ish all week! ☀️ That’s more than hot enough for me.

DH has been travelling a lot for work in the last 4 weeks and although most places he has been have been hot the level of humidity is so different (even with the same country) that less hot places have been unpleasant and hotter ones no problem (and he does not cope well with heat). He found Bilbao at 23 worse than Madrid at 37 due to the humidity.
