Why has Tommy Robinson been arrested under anti terrorism laws?

happydappy2 · 28/07/2024 13:45

He's a Father and Husband, I believe his wife separated from him following awful threats to their children...so for their safety they seperated....If the state can arrest him, they can arrest any of us...Having watched the film about the so called waterboarding incident in a school, of a Syrian refugee child...it seems there is a massive cover up going on....the council allegedly paid 250K hush money to force teachers to sign NDAs.....on the back of the Rotherham grooming scandal this is very strange....anyone else think is state over reach and a massive cover up ?

Hi Stephen

Middlepart · 28/07/2024 15:53

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is a disgrace and deserves whatever punishment is coming his way.

The case with the Syrian student you mention - he lost that libel case, and was warned he'd be in contempt of court if he screened his little film. He loves being arrested etc it's all very on brand for him and his fans.

As an Irish citizen (and fellow dual nationality holder lol) it makes me sick that he uses his Irish passport to live in Spain while yowling about 'wanting his country back'.

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/07/2024 15:54

He doesn't give a fuck about the girls groomed and raped by Asian men. He exploits their ordeal for his own, racist ends.

ChockysChimichanga · 28/07/2024 15:56

He’s a racist and a terrorist.

dapsnotplimsolls · 28/07/2024 16:00

The Met have said they didn't arrest him.

AzureAnt · 28/07/2024 16:00

Aye, Tommy'd be better off joining Hamas. He would treated like a God, especially by Labours luvvies 😉😉

Police saying the pair - who are believed to have been part of the Tommy Robinson protest - had been taken into custody on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Four people were arrested outside a pub in Whitehall on suspicion of assault on emergency workers. Four Met officers were assaulted.
One man was also held on suspicion of criminal damage and a racially aggravated public order offence after allegedly snapping a Palestinian flag and making a racially abusive remark, while another was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker after a police officer was kicked, the force said

Protesters don’t know how to behave themselves nowadays. Especially those with Palestinian flags in their pockets - all they want is to create mayhem in a peaceful society and get their adrenaline out on other people. Fair enough they were arrested!

StaunchMomma · 28/07/2024 16:03

He's an utter cunt who beats women and peddles lies for a living.

If he's been arrested, they have something on him.

He mixes with the kind of 'people' who like to fantasise about bombing mosques so I'm not surprised in the slightest.

Of course, his take will be that he's being 'silenced' and 'shut down' or some other conspiratorial bullshit, just like he did a few weeks back when he got kicked out of Canada - in his opinion for 'not being allowed to air his opinions' but in reality because he'd entered the country on his mate's passport because his criminal record won't allow him access there! Of course, he had a 'just giving' page ready to go so his dopey followers could donate for his non-existent legal fees.

He's a grifter and a shit.

Lock him up and throw away the key, I say.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/07/2024 16:09

Ooo I thought he was in jail..or had moved away to another country..Guess not..shame

Apart from Tommy’s lot, there was a Unite anti-fascist march and a Gay Pride march in London yesterday.

(Tommy claimed 100,000 on his but we know how blokes like to exaggerate….measurements)

Only eight arrests in total - doesn’t sound like mayhem to me.

West Yorkshire police put a massive case together to bring grooming offenders to justice.

a series of court cases- meaning a press ban on reporting as if details made the public domain it would cause a mistrial.

yaxley Lennon decided he was going to “report” on the trials, claiming a cover up by authorities and the “public deserved to know”.

the fuckwit nearly got about 30 sex offenders off.

now tell me he wants to see justice served.

Same with his "documentary ". People said they didn't want to be on camera and that they won't or can't talk about it. So he went and got hidden cameras and filmed them without consent all nicey nicey and friendly. One stated he was afraid for his job. That didn't matter. Because.. truth.

He's already due in court for actually making the film. Now he will have a new charge for showing it despite the injunction.

He had to pay damages to the kid /teen for the allegations he made, which if I remember correctly where that he was assaulting girls at school.

@happydappy2 what do you mean ‘if they can arrest him they can arrest any of us’? Last time I checked most of us weren’t inciting racist attacks or fostering domestic terrorists, like your man Stephen Yaxley-Lennon does (just assuming here you don’t realise that he calls himself Tommy Robinson because his real name sounds too posh).

Far right and white supremacist terrorism is growing faster than Islamist terrorism in this country. People like him are significant enablers and radicalisers. Source: my job which includes counter terrorism.

"Last time I checked most of us weren’t inciting racist attacks or fostering domestic terrorists, like your man Stephen Yaxley-Lennon does"

So, Tukmfru, can you actually provide specific instances of TR/SY-L inciting racist attacks or fostering domestic terrorists?
From what I've seen, any calls for violence have come from those who oppose him.

Well done for having the courage to post that.
I presume you expected the unthinking vitriol that has resulted from it!
TR/SY-L from his first activism, in the wake of the Muslim protests against the Freedom of Luton March through Luton by the Anglian Regiment on return to the UK from Active Service, has refused to kowtow to official demands that he remain silent on many subjects and has long been a thorn in the side of those trying to cover up a lot of criminal activity by Islamists.

Happyher · 28/07/2024 14:38

Yaxley-Lennon incites racial hatred. He may be careful what he says in public but his followers have no problem spouting racist bile and he knows it. He has an Irish passport and lives in Spain. He has no connection with Rotherham and no knowledge of what the authorities are doing about grooming. He just puts a lie out there and his followers lap it up and spread it

"Yaxley-Lennon incites racial hatred"
And your proof of that is?????

HRTQueen · 28/07/2024 16:40

TakeMe2Insanity · 28/07/2024 15:49

Seriously?

He doesn’t care about the girls that were groomed by gangs, he only cares about the girls that were groomed by Asian men. The man is a vile racist. His followers are equally vile.

agree

his only interest is in inciting racial hatred and self promotion for himself

Piggywaspushed · 28/07/2024 16:42

His wife divorced him because he's not a good husband, not for the safety of the children. Not sure where you got that gem from.

Macwitch13 · 28/07/2024 16:44

The UK is terrified of Islam.

The UK Establishment is terrified of Islam you mean.
That was why the Authorities failed to act on the reports of sexual exploitation and rape of underage girls by groups of Muslims for so long.
Ironically, Andrew Norfolk, after Ann Cryer's speech in Keighley, sat on his story of the abuse for 8 years and only had it published by the Times when the campaign by the BNP started gaining publicity.

fixed it for you.

his “refusal to remain silent” nearly got 30 sex offenders freed.

C'mon @VeryOldMan, I know it's hard to join the dots when your hero's being called out but if you'd just take off those white-tinted glasses for just a second I'm sure even you could make the connection between:

Making up false allegations about a Muslim schoolboy, being found guilty of doing so by a court and being warned not to do it again, and then repeating the very same lies to crowd of, let's say, right leaning individuals....

And

Inciting racial hatred.

Neither the UK nor “the UK establishment” is terrified of Islam.

Your TR/SY-L is an egotistical wannabe Fuhrer who wants you @VeryOldMan to be terrified of Islam.

The UK is terrified of Islam.

Boo!

Completely ridiculous comment. Adds nothing.

Muslims are normal people, living normal lives. I suggest you try and get to know over your fears and get to know normal muslims.

Wendycoping · 28/07/2024 17:08

Any of us can be arrested if we break the law, as he did when he showed his libellous video.
