How long is socially acceptable between Mat leaves?

I've just returned to work after 14 months off and I'm wondering what would be 'socially' acceptable to get pregnant again (I know I can legally do what I want but why do I feel so guilty?)

For reference- I'm 38, it would be a frozen embryo transfer so I can literally pick when I do it and I dislike my boss/job but I'm in a profession that is considered 'high flying' highly paid job where women put careers ahead of families and return to work much quicker than I did.

I'm considering a September transfer but I'd have only been back 2 months. Too soon? How long did you wait till getting pregnant again? And if it was a short time was it awkward/ did you feel 'guilty'?

If her pregnancies were connected to or the reason for the redundancy then not only is that illegal but she was well off out of there cause who wants to work for a scummy employer like that.

Well, she shot herself in the foot by telling anyone that would listen that she didn’t want to work and was going to get pregnant again, before she left for her second maternity leave, but they did make her post redundant and did it through proper legal channels, so I assume it was above board 🤷‍♀️

I had a direct report return from mat leave 7 months pg! She was only back 6 weeks. I just continued her mat cover. Managerial it was easy.

Put yourself first, OP.

I had a year of maternity leave with my first, and was already about four months pregnant with DC2 when I went back. The pregnancy just happened a lot faster than we expected. It took almost a year to conceive DC1 so we thought we'd just see what happened when trying for DC2 and conceived first try.

I was only back at work for three months before going off on maternity leave again. It suited work quite well as they just drafted in the person who covered my job the first time.

I must admit I felt a bit awkward when I first went back and tried to hide the bump under loose clothes for a bit, then I just thought 'sod this' and owned it. Pregnant and proud!
