Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

Good Morning from Skegness! We've been gifted a weekend in a caravan so are all up early to make the most of the beautiful weather 🌞 I'm still sat with a brew first though, before I nip to the little shop on the site for some dilute juice and a few snacks.

Today's plan is find the market for a wander, eat chips, and ice cream, and enjoy a few drinks in the sunshine.

The girls enjoyed the beach last night, and found a starfish, so we'll probably head to the beach too ⛱️.

Good morning everyone, I’ve not managed to comment on these threads for a good few weeks as we’ve been so busy! Between me going on holiday with my sisters then dh going away with his friends, me being made redundant and job searching then birthday season starting for us (all four dc’s birthdays within 4.5 weeks starting with youngest DD’s birthday yesterday) life is just manic at the moment! Luckily I have a few months before my redundancy to find another job so I have a bit of breathing space yet.

Anyway, today I slept in til 8.30am (that’s a big lie in for me!) and had a quiet hour on the sofa drinking tea. I’m now at a trampoline park with dd10 (10 as of yesterday!) and my niece (11) who stayed over last night. I’m here for another hour or so then back home to tidy the wreck of my house after yesterday’s celebrations. Dd16 is working this afternoon and dniece will be collected around 3pm, I can then do the online check in for next months holiday after 3.30pm and then me and dh are going out for a curry and a few drinks tonight as we’ve hardly seen each other lately and it’ll be nice to spend the evening just the two of us - Dd19 has kindly agreed to babysit dd10 for us. We are both off work tomorrow and no school run as it’s summer holidays so we can have a few drinks and not have to worry about an early start tomorrow.
