Nits.

Fucking NITS.

I’ve just spent the last few hours treating them.

I assumed this wouldn’t happen once the teen years had passed.

I am mightily confused.

You need to ask who he has been having sex with and they need treating as well. Nits and Uni is a well known risk (but more treatable than an STI)

HolyStyleFailBatman · 11/07/2024 23:28

lol 😆

HolyStyleFailBatman · 11/07/2024 23:29

I thought you were going to say laundry

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/07/2024 23:31

The bugs are dead and washed away.

There is loads of eggs.

He’s had these nuts for a while…

I have Nitty Gritty combs coming tomorrow. God bless Amazon.

I feel so itchy…

I thought you were going to say a recently slain mouse.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 11/07/2024 23:33

Has he been backpacking? Common in backpacker's hostels...

BrainChanged · 11/07/2024 23:34

I thought you were going to say a puppy… Wishful thinking 😁

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/07/2024 23:36

Thought you were going to say a stick. My nearly 16 year old DS still brings sticks back from every walk.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/07/2024 23:38

It’s definitely head lice.

He had them A LOT when he was in primary school. I recognised them.

I’m also quite good at combing them out.

A wife

Totallymessed · 11/07/2024 23:49

Fucking hell. that's disgusting. How did he not realise?

Peoneve · 11/07/2024 23:49

Well they are spread by head to head contact - buy him a swim cap for all future sexual activities- would work like a giant condom for his head

PoppyCherryDog · 11/07/2024 23:55

I had nits when I was 19/20 at uni, I treated it myself but it was so weird no idea how I got them. Even went to the doctor complaining of an itchy scalp and they can me some scalp stuff to help with the itching but even they didn’t think nits! But it does happen!

wilteddandelion · 11/07/2024 23:56

I'm all itchy now :(

Biggleslefae · 12/07/2024 00:01

Goodness me!! Do you know where he picked them up OP?

wiggleweggle · 12/07/2024 00:03

Buzz cuts all round!!!

It probably didn't occur to the doctor that a fully grown adult would be wandering around oblivious to the fact that their hair was teeming with lice.

How exactly is it 'disgusting?!' Anyone can get headline, they don't discriminate! Teachers get them regularly. Also, they only itch if you react to them biting. I can totally see how a man who presumably has short hair, wouldn't even know they had them, especially if there's no itching

ReadingSoManyThreads · 12/07/2024 00:12

Never too old...I caught them at 32yrs old from a young child!

😂😂. There’s always one. Nits are common in primary school, pretty much those kids aren’t catching them from having sex !

He came home with nits, not crabs FFS.

Edited

You’re a bit obsessed with assuming he got them from sex. I got them from my kids once!

Young people can put their heads together without shagging. Close contact in a crowded bar, leaning in to listen to someone if it’s noisy. Etc!

The amount of selfies we take has a lot to blame
