Just that really, wi-fi, water, fridge (or is that a step too far?)

We don’t really turn anything off. The one time we did turn the water off the stop tap started to leak as it hadn’t been used before and we ended up having to get an emergency plumber out to fix it (!) so now we just leave things well alone and hope for the best!

PashaMinaMio · 08/07/2024 08:09

At the main?

Nothing.

betterangels · 08/07/2024 08:09

Nothing.

CissOff · 08/07/2024 08:10

Nothing?? Maybe the toaster or kettle?

It’s 2 weeks max - not 2 months 😂

Lifestooshort71 · 08/07/2024 08:11

Nothing. Have prob set tv to record and fridge/freezer full of food.

NotTooOldPaul · 08/07/2024 08:12

I unplug the TV so it is not wasting power on standby

justfornow1 · 08/07/2024 08:12

Just the plug sockets for WiFi, microwave, TV etc.

Never the WiFi, fridge, water.

goldenlloyd · 08/07/2024 08:12

Washing machine and tumble dryer is a good idea.

LlynTegid · 08/07/2024 08:13

Fridge ls left on, there is electricity and water, nothing else.

Sethera · 08/07/2024 08:14

Gas, water and unplug all appliances.

bluebee17 · 08/07/2024 08:15

Nothing

PuttingDownRoots · 08/07/2024 08:17

Alexas, computers, television work machines

Need to leave WiFi on the Ring camera and Hive to turn the heating on before we get home (in winter!)

fieldsofbutterflies · 08/07/2024 08:18

Everything except the fridge and freezer, and the internet.

AuroraStone · 08/07/2024 08:18

Just some of the switches, like the tv, toaster, kettle & the main cooker switch.
We do that at night anyway.

Theothername · 08/07/2024 08:22

Washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, cooker, oven, microwave, computers, laptops, tv, small appliances, chargers etc.

Wifi, telephone, freezer, fridge left on.

Lamps and tv simulators put on timers.

Empty water reservoirs in tumble drier, washing machine (check drawer is dry, and leave door slightly ajar), coffee machine, kettle. Leave dishwasher ajar.

Empty bins.

Pause milk delivery.

usernother · 08/07/2024 08:29

Nothing.

JoyousPinkPeer · 08/07/2024 08:32

Water as we are away a long time over winter.

BurglarAndSwag · 08/07/2024 08:32

What about curtains?
Open? Closed? One open and one closed?
That's my dilemma.

Beezknees · 08/07/2024 08:34

I don't turn anything off at the mains.

lurkingfromhome · 08/07/2024 08:34

Absolutely nothing. Leave one light on a timer, otherwise I lock the door and go!

TorroFerney · 08/07/2024 08:47

My brain. Have to remember so much at work and am quite anxious at times so I think as soon as I finish my brain kind of gives up.

TwoShades1 · 08/07/2024 08:58

For a standard holiday of no more than 3 weeks. Nothing. I mean I turn of heating/cooling and lights. But I don’t do any other appliances. I couldn’t turn off the fridge, there is still food in it. If I was going for a really long trip of several months then yes I would turn off more things.

Nothing.

The only thing I would make sure I switched off is phone chargers but they are always packed in the case anyway.

I close all the blinds.
