Since the dawn of mobile phones…can you remember any home phone numbers?

i can’t remember my own home phone number (as a kid. We don’t have one now), or anyone else’s

Howard 54329 now there's a blast from the past!

I am now 54 and can remember my boyfriends landline number from when I was 16. I can still hear his mum answering it in my head.

The only home numbers I can remember (other than the one on the landline we gave up last year) are the two numbers I had as a child in the 1960s and 1970s, and the numbers of my two best school friends from the 1970s.

I've been retired for about 4 years now and can't remember any of my old work numbers.

I know my own mobile number but not my husband's or my children's!

I only remember three landlines numbers. My childhood and my best friends six digit numbers and 01 811 8055.

Probably giving my age away there 😀

I can remember my childhood number and my best friend's number. After mobile phones came along, I memorised my mum's mobile number, came in useful when my phone broke. Also had my boyfriend's number memorised so I was able to add it to my new phone and let him know I had a new number.

My phone number when I was a teen was 3 digits long.

For years the area code gradually got longer but the number stayed at 3 digits although that has changed now, so the number is no longer active.
