I know I’m hugely behind the curve on all this but teenage daughters are fickle. Can someone just confirm I have the following correct?

1. We don’t have a ‘code’ and I presume we can’t get one now.
2. Even if some turn up on Ticketmaster, I wouldn’t be able to buy them without a code
3. Axs is the other official site and you don’t need a code to buy them there
4. Stubhub, Viagogo and people on Facebook should not be trusted and don’t use them
5. Twickets would be safe to buy, should some appear
6. I’m more likely to marry Henry Cavill than I am getting tickets now

My DD (nearly 30) has been a huge fan of Taylor Swift since 2007. She has seen her 4 times in concert, and is currently at the concert at Wembley tonight. (Her 5th time seeing her!) She was a huge fan before being a fan became 'trendy.'

I like TS a lot too but am not an super-fan like my DD, and millions of others. As I said, DD is at the concert in London tonight with 3 pals who have been fans 15+ years like her. She is also a big Paramore fan, so double bonus as they are there too. (I saw Paramore with DD around 15 years ago, and they're amazing too!)

If some of you represent 'swifties' as a whole then you're not giving a great impression.

I don't believe for a minute Taylor Swift would want her concerts to be some exclusive thing where only the 'deserving' super fans get to go and people sneer at those who are just discovering her and new to the whole rigmarole of buying tickets for a mega famous artists these days.

I'm not sure I get the obsession with her music but I tell you what, she doesn't seem like an arsehole unlike some of her 'fans' on here.

Earn stripes? Wtf? Stop gatekeeping! I’ve been a fan since debut and it was NOT cool to love TS, infact I got mercilessly teased for it, but everyone deserves to see their favourite artist perform, whether they’ve been a fan since day one or yesterday.

I was in labour when they announced the midnights pre sale and then obviously had a newborn so had other things so missed the window to pre order. Does that mean I’m not a true swiftie? Jesus Christ.

In the nicest way possible, the Midnights presale was the way for actual swifties to get tickets. It was free, incredibly easy, and meant me and my DD who have been hardcore swifties for over 10 years could get multiple Eras tickets very very easily.

The midnights presale meant genuine swifties could get tickets. If she didn't even care about Taylor a year ago, there are people who deserve tickets more and they are probably the people who got them. I'm sorry but it's the truth

I registered for a few diff countries.
Got madrid paris london and dublin codes.
Only got actual tickets for Paris.
Luck of the draw.

I sort of assumed that was the case until this thread! I like what Taylor Swift stands for even if I'm not a fan and I didn't think she stood for making people feel like they're not in her 'gang'.

I had a midnight code and it was not easy. Got chucked out by ticketmaster twice at the front of the queue and ended up having to go to Edinburgh and only £300 tickets available when we live 30 minutes from London

Viagogo is ok. They will refund / try and get you another ticket as they have a fan guarantee and it will get transferred to your ticketmaster account before the show - once it is it is real. Go for a trader with a star which guarantees they have successfully sold over 100 tickets on there . I got 2 more on viagogo a week or so before Edinburgh after my youngest became a big fan after I got for my eldest on via midnights code a year ago and they were fine. I know lots of people who have had viagogo tickets successfully the only issue is they are sold by professional touts and are extremely expensive. I paid £350 for a £60 ticket restricted view but it was worth it for us. However they look like they’re £550-600 plus for Wembley now.

"Earning your stripes" in relation to being a fan of a pop star is a bit ott, though.
I like TS (and credit to her marketing genius) but a bit of perspective is needed.

Essentially the tickets went on sale a year ago. You needed a code to stand a chance of getting tickets and even with a code it was a very hit and miss affair involving virtual queueing on the ticketmaster or axs website and basically buying whatever tickets (max of 4 per code) were available by the time you reached the top of the queue.

I went last week, got a ticket from Viagogo on the day. I've used Viagogo and StubHub many times, obviously you pay more but it is what it is.

I don't understand people saying tickets from Viagogo might not work. They get transferred through Ticketmaster, you can't fake them! If for any reason you didn't receive the ticket from the seller, they guarantee to get you alternative tickets.

Good news is you don't have to spend anything. I feel the same way about Coldplay and a few others. Good show though from what I have seen on the film and You Tube

DD15 has just announced that more resale tickets are being released. She nearly shrieked the roof off earlier when she spotted tickets on Viagogo for £1,800! Bonkers!
