Jobs: 23!

Pallisers · 17/06/2024 14:08

Jobs 2 - not counting summer jobs
Homes - 8. Only owned 3 of them.

Eviebeans · 17/06/2024 14:09

7 jobs including the one I have now

Eviebeans · 17/06/2024 14:10

Eviebeans · 17/06/2024 14:07

9 homes including the one I’m in now

Should probably add another two - the others have been since I left home at 18

Chocolateorange22 · 17/06/2024 14:13

As an adult (I'm 36)
Houses 9
Jobs 7

Felt it was actually higher than that. I've lived in 5 different counties though which I'd imagine is higher than average. Longest time I've lived in a house as an adult is 5 years and longest time at a company is present at 9 years.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 17/06/2024 14:21

Babyboomtastic · 17/06/2024 14:25

This is going to take some working out 😂

Homes: 13
Jobs: also 13. I think. Give or take a couple.

PumpkiSpice · 17/06/2024 14:28

13 jobs if I was including volunteering jobs that would be 20
house- 7

aintnospringchicken · 17/06/2024 14:31

Full time jobs as an adult 2
Homes 4 .Three in the same city and one in another.

Twotimesrhymes · 17/06/2024 14:32

homes - moved about quite a lot as a child and twice moved primary. Stayed in the one home through secondary though until the day of my a level exams were over and moved family home. Then I lived in several uni accommodations. Bought a home at 22 and haven’t moved much since (dh moved in with me)

DaffydownClock · 17/06/2024 14:32

6 different nursing accommodation when student nurse
3 different houses since married
2 houses as a child/teenager = 11

Jobs - student nurse, staff nurse, student midwife, midwife, ward sister, worked in three different nursing homes, three different community hospitals, CEO of two charities, manager at AgeUK = 13
If you count volunteer jobs then that’s another 7!

Twotimesrhymes · 17/06/2024 14:33

Plus I have stayed in the one job most of my adult life - so fairly steady really

KatPurrson · 17/06/2024 14:37

Jobs: 25
Homes: 38

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 17/06/2024 14:39

Whole life

Jobs 11 (including pt at school/uni)
Homes 15 (including halls and flats at uni)

Grown up / post uni

Jobs 8
Homes 7

ArseholeCatIsABlackAndWhiteCat · 17/06/2024 17:20

Jobs - 5, 6 of you include volunteering

Lived in 8 or 9 places, but not all were "homes".

Gabbsters · 17/06/2024 17:22

Proper jobs- 4
Homes- 12 (conservative counting. Including shorter term places, more like 17)

taxguru · 17/06/2024 17:25

Only two homes: Our family home when growing up and then our married home from when we got married.

7 "jobs": When I was a trainee, only way to make progress was to move employers, so 4 jobs between starting out and first job as fully qualified. Next two jobs were again climbing the career ladder. Last "job" is self employment when I decided to get off the corporate gravy train and do my own thing.

elQuintoConyo · 17/06/2024 18:00

Addressees 24.
Jobs 10. In four different countries (obvs pre-Brexit!) .
Current job nine years, I think. Unless the company goes bust, I'm in for the long haul. Or I get sick of everything and move to France to rescue donkeys.

Jeezitneverends · 17/06/2024 18:02

2 “proper” jobs
5 homes

useitorlose · 17/06/2024 18:10

Homes: 2 before I was two, 3 while my Dad served five years in the Navy, 1 after he left until I left home at 18. Four while I was in the Army. In my twenties, 5 until I married, two while married. Two more after we split up until I emigrated at 50. 5 since I emigrated. That's 24.

Jobs: 1 part time while at school, then the army. Three more in my 20s until I qualified as a teacher. Six in the UK, four, overseas. That's 14.

I'm definitely not in my last ever home but I'm hopefully in my last ever job!

chosenone · 17/06/2024 18:16

After Uni from the age of 22
6 homes
5 jobs

before that at least 5 homes and 6 temp /PT jobs

HerRoyalNotness · 17/06/2024 18:20

Counting from my first adult job (18-51yo)
17 jobs
19 homes

to be fair I travelled around with work for a while.

StarCourt · 17/06/2024 18:40

17 jobs 19 homes
