I have one too, just had the text saying about it and waiting for the form to arrive :-(

Horrible isn't it. Mine is mainly mental health as well. Recurrent depression, and some physical problems. Fingers crossed for you. I had to appeal last time, I have decided if I do that again I might just ask for it on paper as can't handle the stress of it all.

clockdoc · 31/05/2024 21:05

I'm confused as to what you are saying. Is this a new claim or a review of an existing claim?

Kitkat1523 · 31/05/2024 21:22

My last review was paper based…didn’t go to assessment ….got the same award but for 4 years this time instead of 2 years the first time

jill85xxx · 31/05/2024 21:24

its a review

You need to treat it like a new claim…put at least 2 examples for each descriptor where you think you should score points ..a letter from a psychologist isn’t really evidence as such

It doesn’t provide any real life examples ….but if you did a comprehensive review form that will count…..and send your repeat prescription

clockdoc · 31/05/2024 22:08

I have reported your picture as details are visible.

This letter isn't going to do much in terms of helping your claim. You need to go through each descriptor and explain and evidence why you can't do or need support in that area. The letter is ok to show you are engaging with services and that you have difficulties but it doesn't actually show how your condition affects you and that's what PIP are asking for. Doing a review I would take the information from your initial claim and further evidence those points of at all possible .

Orangesandlemons77 · 31/05/2024 22:10

I would do the opposite, just put no change to everything, send in the letters.

Was told this by a benefits advisor, unless anything has changed of course.

Do you have any evidence to show how it affects you?

Right so you have done everything you can. It's just a very long waiting game now.

Really, it's not. They are looking for changes at the review. If the OP is under the MH team etc she'll be fine.

OP try not to worry it will be OK

@Orangesandlemons77

You know your own experience. There is never any harm in giving information when doing a review. The most harmful thing here is telling someone they don't need to.

Orangesandlemons77 · 01/06/2024 13:07

Ok, so in my experience going on in great detail about how you meed the descriptors will mean they think you are competent and able (with mental health)

Being under the MH team, on multiple medications, at 'risk' and not being able to complete the form demonstrates how badly you are affected.
