Happy half term if it's half term for you 🥳

I've just made my first cuppa, and put the washer on. I'm in my kitchen spot with the window open, it's been cooler all week & I cba to venture out with my tea, just to discover it's colder than it looks!

Today's plan for me is craft...the entire day! There's 3 weeks until our Eras date & I'm so excited 🎵 I'm half way through customising t-shirts so will carry on with those & dd2's going to make some more bracelets. Dd1 did say she'd help with the t-shirts while I'm adding rhinestones but whether or not she does remains to be seen 🤷‍♀️. There are a few bracelets I want to re-thread too so I'll maybe get to them. If not then one day this week...

I need an outfit too so will be scrolling Vinted to see what I can find to try. Anything not right can go back on 🙄

I'm not sure what's for tea yet, there's loads in the freezer. I'll look when I next get up to refill my cup.

What about all of you? 🌞

I took the dog for a walk, then to his training class, had lunch, went to have my nails done then took the dog to the home boarder. Just got back, I h have to pack and then talk to my neighbour about the cats and hand over keys my DD is getting married on Monday. Out with friends this evening and takeaway tonight

Good afternoon lucysmam and all.

I was busy emptying the van this morning, as I have been in Scotland for a while and we brought back some stuff from our cottage, which we are selling.

I officiated at a wedding this afternoon, which was lovely. A super country house in a beautiful setting, a string quartet and very nice happy people.

DH has brought strawberries and cream home, so I am sitting doing the strawberries.
Dinner was going to be risotto but I'm not sure I can be bothered tonight, so might substitute some of the scotch pies I bought home.

I'm not sure if I'm going to continue watching Dr Who or not, now it is so Disney and stuff, so I might stream a really scary horror film.

Evening all - I’m about to get I. The shower to get ready to go out tonight. DP and I are going for an early dinner at a local curry house and then going to our neighbours for drinks which will be lovely (and easy journey home!)

This morning was the usual football training rush and then I took a few bits back to Sainsbury’s and got some drinks and flowers for tonight. We had corned beef hash and eggs for brunch which was lovely.

I walked the dog then came home and watched the cricket, DP has spent all afternoon digging the garden to lay a patio so he’ll probably be knackered for tonight but he’s a good egg and will rally!

Good evening everyone, I’m a bit late to the thread today.

I had my usual Saturday morning relaxing and putting away the Tesco delivery, did some washing and hung it out, etc and dh was at work.

Around lunchtime I went holiday clothes shopping with my sister, my niece and dd9 and we went out for lunch too. I managed to buy everything we needed and got home around 4pm via Dunkin Donuts.

This evening there’s just me, dd19 and dd9 home for tea so we’re having chicken wraps. Dh has gone to the pub to watch the football and will probably stagger in tonight once we’re all in bed. Dd16 is working til 8pm but once home we’ll probably watch a few episodes of Bridgerton.

I keep looking around the house as it’s an absolute pigsty as we’ve had a decorator in this week and he’s nowhere near finished so all the furniture is moved out of place, the floors are a disgrace and there’s just piles of random crap everywhere. But it can wait til tomorrow as I can’t be bothered sorting it today! Not sure why I’m bothering though as the decorator is coming back on Monday or Tuesday to carry on so it’ll be back to an absolute pigsty again.

We was woken by the sound of my daughter bashing her crib at 5am this morning, she has learnt that wall is to our bedroom so she doesn't cry or shout she just bashes

Fun

Holiday shopping family visits and home for play time

Salmon and eggs for an easy tea.

Happy Saturday night all.

Happy Saturday all! My 8 week old and 5 year old have been hard work today. Anyone offer to take a baby?! I need a nap 😂

Eldest DC has is just settling down to sleep now, baby is on a protest. I think I might fold some washing and watch some Netflix in the bedroom once baby is asleep. I’ve given my cats their bedtime food and I can’t wait to get into fresh, clean bedsheets tonight. Happy Saturday night all!

lucysmam · 25/05/2024 20:50

@Mammma91 I'll snuggle the baby!

I could do with a distraction from my stupid new hair "do".

I do not like it one bit. It was meant to make me feel better but I feel more sticky outy and stupid looking now than with stupid, puffy, sticky outy hair 🙄. & short hair is harder to style than it was long 🙄🙄. At least puffy I could leave it to be stupid and do it's own thing, now I have to make an effort to style it. Except it looks choppy, and shitty because I still have a bald patch I did not know about until yesterday ffs.

Ffs. I'm going to sulk with my stick of rock from the seaside!

@lucysmam I'm sorry you don't like your new hair. I went short short several years ago and I love it! I don't style it, I don't dry it, I just wash and go. Very occasionally I use a bit of product on it but actually I haven't done that for ages. Maybe your hair just isn't short enough? Or maybe you just need a bit of time to get used to it.

ssd · 25/05/2024 23:40

Ach I'm sorry @lucysmam that sounds crap. I hope it grows in fast for you Flowers
