All inclusive - how much ?

Looking at booking my first all inclusive holiday In a long time. I want something quite special as I've had a rough couple of years, health wise.

I was wondering if people think just shy of £1k pp for june in Turkey is reasonable for 7 nights?

Yes we can afford it and I would be willing to pay it if it's the norm, but it's more than I expected.

Beautiful hotel, adults only, gym spa etc very nice decor. Beautiful pools and restaurants, excellent reviews across all sites. Private beach. More of a sprawling green layout than a big tower block type so doesn't feel crowded. Nice convenient flights for us.

I was imagining more like £700pp but I can't find anything anywhere near as nice as nice on the usual websites for that sort of money. Plus most of the cheaper ones use easyJet flights so there's a load of add ons for baggage etc.

So, semi-luxury all inclusive regulars, what do you reckon?

Sounds cheap. We just paid just under £1K each for 9 nights in tenerife in may and although it was lovely i wouldnt call it luxurious. Get it booked

Bearpawk · 22/05/2024 07:17

Thank you @addictedtotheflats I think I'll just book. Was tempted to hold off and wait to see if the prices come down at all closer to the time but the prices for 2 weeks time for example aren't any cheaper

I paid £800 for a week in a lovely hotel in Turkey and that was in Easter holidays. The same place for a week in August is £1500! £1000 is about right for June… especially for your description of the hotel.

Mykittensmittens · 22/05/2024 07:18

Agreed that’s good value. £1300 is about average, you can get lower but not in school
holidays. October half term canaries for example you’ll be struggling to get AI for less than £1600. So £1k for mid term is about right.

SantaBarbaraMonica · 22/05/2024 07:21

That’s under £250 per night for your accommodation, 3 meals and any amount of drinks for two people. That’s so cheap!

infactyourquiteunique · 22/05/2024 07:21

We paid 650 for Tenerife in may . It was advertised as 4 star but would say it's closer to 3 star.

It's large buffet - chips burgers salad etc

It's ok but not outstanding

Bearpawk · 22/05/2024 07:23

You've all convinced me Wink

Do you mean for next month? The risk will be all the favourite hotels will likely have the best rooms booked by now. But I just priced up our favourite hotel and it's coming in about £1100 pp but that's a basic room, we tend to upgrade.

aplthtoa · 22/05/2024 07:50

(5*)

YaWeeFurryBastard · 22/05/2024 07:54

I’d say that’s extremely cheap, almost worryingly cheap but maybe I’m out of touch!

TheChosenTwo · 22/05/2024 07:57

I’d say that was good value (at face value! You never know what it’s like until you get there), dh and I will sometimes have a week AI without the dc and always plan to use it more of a base than the focus of the whole holiday, usually pay 2-2.5K per person for 7 nights outside of school holidays. I say sometimes, we’ve done it I think 3 times 😂 so not AI aficionados!

gettingolderbutcooler · 22/05/2024 08:06

It's not luxury, but it was lovely when we went this year:

Avra beach in Rhodes.

Right in the beach, food was great, bar and small restaurants right on the beach.
It is shingle though.
Cost £2400 for 4 of us.
Win trip advisor award.
Probably not luxury enough though ☺️

YorkNew · 22/05/2024 08:08

That’s a good price.

Star ratings have little to do with quality as a distinction between 3 and 4 star, its about facilities, some of which you won't notice or care about such as 24 hour reception or a 'business centre' aka a computer in the corner of the mezzanine floor.

I stayed in a 1 star hotel a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea how that rating was determined but it was lovely. Clean, modern, spa bath, comfy bed with nice bedding, massive balcony with a view over snowy mountains and the historical sights of the city I was visiting.

But to answer the OPs question that sounds like a really good price for what she describes. £700 would probably be more like high rise beige and chips level.

elevens24 · 22/05/2024 08:19

We pay about £1300 per adult for Turkey 4/5 star all inclusive. They've been amazing.

paprikaforever · 22/05/2024 08:31

far too cheap

Yes next month. There's 300+ rooms spread over the site and you can pay extra to select a specific room so I'm not too worried

Haha that's good to know, no I'm out of touch I've never done AI for years! But factoring in flight costs and 3 meals a day plus snacks/ drinks it's good really isn't it.
I'm just used to previously finding incredible bargains with non- package hols but they don't seem to exist anymore for top end places (esp now with all the easyJet add ons which doubles flight prices)
