What's the cheapest holiday abroad

I'm looking at holidays. I have never been on holiday as an adult. And my children have never been on holiday at all . There will be 3 children, 2 adults. I am looking at all inclusive. When I look it's coming to at least 3000. Will I get cheaper than that?

It must be all inclusive. Flying from Gatwick. Will consider Heathrow. 4hrs or less flying. Nice weather. Safe, beach , pools

I would consider maybe the October half term time or late September onwards. The sea will be warm for swimming, but the summer heat gone
We went to Croatia a couple of years ago at this time of year and it was bliss.

This, probably cheaper than AI. The Canaries in Novenber might also be a lower cost option. Or Fuengirola or Benalmadena from Malaga.

Look for somewhere in a coastal town as you'll be able to transfer using public transport. Also within walking distance from a proper supermarket like Lidl, Mercadona or Eroski as groceries similar price or cheaper than UK

I was thinking. By the time we have dome shopping for food , drinks, snacks etc . An I really saying that much money?

I'm flexible about this feeling... but im also thinking do I really want to go away and still end up cooking /making meals . I feel likevi want to have a proper break. But obviously that cost money .

You say off peak but assuming you’re tied to school holidays it’s all peak.
as others said I wouldn’t take a 14 year old out of school

that said depending on when they finish their GCSEs there will be a small “window” after their exams that year

I take mine out of school most years. I've got a 15 year old doing gcses this year though,. So no summer holiday. Taking kids out last week of school in December. They'll be winding down then, nothing important will be missed. It'll be 4 to 5k in school hols

It depends on what you value. Cheap AI food is pretty low quality and buffets an unrelaxing scrum and that would ruin a holiday for me so I'd rather stock up on drinks, snacks and easy food and I love a browse of Mercadona especially so the latter is a preferable option for me.

Don't forget that in your family everyone is capable of doing their share so the amount of work you have to do yourself isn't much.

I just don't want the hassle of it's your turn to sort out food , it's your turn to wash up. Huffing and puffing irs bad enough at home without it on holiday. I want it stress free . I know in am ideal word it should be straightforward but it's not in my case.

Food wise I'm not looking for anything posh I don't really care if its buffet style food . Or simlar.

I am starting to think as much as I would like to go on holiday. Maybe it's not such a good idea it's to much for me to afford on my own . I would be paying for myself and 3 children. Adult ds would pay for himself.

Is there a way you could have a shorter/cheaper break that might not give you the full sun/sea/beach/AI experience, but still something memorable?

Eurostar to Paris or Disneyland Paris for example?
Or EasyJet flights to Venice or Rome? Or cheaper, Eastern Europe?

Make it a long weekend and have a set budget for eating out/treats per day (kids can be in charge of deciding how they spend their budget)

I just fear you stretching yourself and trying to give everyone a wonderful time might be unrealistic.
Don't think AI means you'll get a relaxing time!
Kids and parents often hate holidays, but if it's important for them to travel they will when they are older.
It's not a holiday/rest for the parents, especially will the ratios you are working with!

I've only got one child and I think I'm still unpacking/washing for a short trip in the UK we took back in March.

I'm taking mine abroad for the first time soon (visiting sick family otherwise I wouldn't dream of it) and it's so expensive, all the things like passports/visas/insurance/pool clothes/suncream/meds just in case/suitcase as I have one but they don't/travel to the airport... honestly the list goes on, I daren't add it up.

Hi, have you looked at https://www.transfertravel.com/? It's where other people sell holidays they can't go on and you buy them either at the same price they paid, or cheaper. I'm not sure if any of them will meet all the specific requirements but if you can find something cheap on there then you can always add on flights from another site? Not sure if it is useful but might be worth looking at x

That's £600 per person for flights, accomodation, drinks and food. Probably transfers too. It's a great price!

I'm probably not going to go anywhere. It's going to be to much hassle and a struggle it's not worth the stress . I can't justify spending the money either. Maybe in a year or 2 things might be different.

The children are going to butlins with their dad so it's not like they are going no where.
