New kitchen colour regret

If you installed a coloured kitchen instead of white or oak do you regret it? I like the blues, greens and dare I say it dusty pink but I don’t want to regret it in a years time. Got to make a decision by 9am Tuesday, my head is saying different to my heart!

I don’t like dark colours for kitchens, as I don’t like dark colours generally. But whatever you chose probably won’t be to your buyers taste should you decide to sell, most buyers will replace a kitchen. The last 3 kitchens we have had installed, were cream, sage and grey. Tbh I liked the sage one the best. We did view a house with a gloss black kitchen, with black tiles, and a bright cerise and dark grey, but obviously the owners liked it. All down to personal taste. But I would always go neutral for a kitchen tbh. Most people can live with neutral. Good luck OP.

@RainbowSlidders we chose midnight blue 6 years ago before it was everywhere. Which doesn't really bother me I don't regret it think it's pretty timeless and have some lovely splashback tiles to match

Mine is a sludgy F and B green and I love it. I’ve had it for 15 years now.

I like pretty extreme taste in decorating, but have managed to harness it, because I can change my mind instantly and haven't got the budget to match lots of core changes. So, the expensive parts are always basic and neutral. And then I cram my personality and colours and general crap around that lovely neutral skeleton 😅

Mine is a pale blue colour in gloss. I still love it nearly 10 years later so much so that I had it moved from the old to the new kitchen after building work.

My kitchen is pink - 3 years on I still absolutely love it. I reasoned that if I didn't like it or went off it in years to come, it can just be repainted - it is a classic wooden shaker, so easy enough to change it.

Small cottage kitchen here We had our kitchen done about 7 years ago in cream gloss Shaker style with oak laminate worktops. We've got Dulux Egyptian Cotton on the walls. The only thing I do regret is the cream splashback behind the hob. It's never looked right. We're having the whole house decorated later in the year and having white walls right through the downstairs including the kitchen. Once it's done I'm going to change the handles and also look at tiling the splashback. I've sourced heatproof vinyl tiles so it will just being a matter of me and DH agreeing a pattern/colours (this one could run and run).
