Have you ever had good advice on MN?

A few months ago I was struggling with an overactive bladder, which was really bothering me. I went to the GP who prescribed some meds. They helped the symptoms but made me over sedated and I had to stop them. I was prescribed the same in patch form which had no impact at all.

while browsing Mn at the time someone had started a thread on the very same issue. Cheap otc antihistamines were suggested, so I tried and OMG what a life changer!!!! I can now live my life not worrying about where the nearest loo is.

I don’t remember who suggested it but wish to thank whoever it was.

have you acted on MN advice and it was effective?

Any cheap ones basically! Cetrizine, loratidine, I can change brands with no change in effectiveness. Just go to Savers, Poundland and buy 2 or 3 months at a time.

True.
Though loratidine does nothing for me and I only use cetirizine hydrochloride / dihydrochloride

So you might need to experiment if you don't respond to one. But any brand will do.

Yes millions of times. Everything.

Lots of good advice. Used for legal, relationships, DIY, loads! I love that most of the time I find something interesting to read about which can send me into a spiral of googling for hours...

I have been given lots of great advice over the years and I currently have a thread running regarding a chronic health issues that I suffer from (and am very much struggling with) and have been given some helpful advice on things I haven’t yet tried (and hoping they’ll work).

Some people on MN can be harsh at times but there are also some extremely helpful people on here.
