Tell me the best part about being a mum?

To counter all the doom-and-gloom posts about parenting, can anyone share their favourite parts about being a mum? What have you found most fulfilling?

Pregnant and nervous, but excited too!

When they light up and grin the second they see you, even when they have literally just opened their eyes first thing. Heart melts every single time.

The love and understanding that is beyond words and unlike any other relationship.

The absolute trust they have in you and knowledge that you would give your life for them and their children.

The great fun and laughs you have together from when they're little to when they become grandparents themselves.

The way they tease me.

It's just been the most meaningful, loving and joyous part of my life.

You will be a great Mum I'm sure and remember to relax and enjoy it. Look for the love and laughter every day - especially when it's chaos and hard!

It's just...really fun? I love having two tiny, feral sidekicks to mess around with.

Watching them grow and learn and knowing that they are yours and you made them.

When they give you the best cuddles.

When they get a bit older and you can have a proper grown up conversation with them.
