Photo ID - passport and driving licence.

longdistanceclaraclara · 03/05/2024 14:54

Passport and driving licence. Work pass is photo ID if that counts.

Apparently two more than buffoon Johnson.

EBearhug · 03/05/2024 14:57

Photo - passport and driving licence.

Non-photo - birth certificate, letters from the bank, etc.

Johnson is an arse who did it on purpose because people haven't been talking about him much recently.

sleekcat · 03/05/2024 15:19

3, including birth certificate. 2 with photos.

TheNoonBell · 03/05/2024 15:22

Passport and drivers licence. Always have the drivers licence on me.

Tarkan · 03/05/2024 15:25

I have an expired passport in my maiden name. Apparently that alongside my marriage certificate are enough for voting ID.

I also have a student Totum card but while it's a photo ID it's not seen as an official one for many things.

BebbanburgIsMine · 03/05/2024 15:31

I only have a disabled person's bus pass.

No driving licence or passport

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 03/05/2024 15:34

Passport, driver’s licence, birth certificate, marriage certificate, work ID badge. No idea if my work badge could have been used for voting. It has a passport style photo and I work for the government 🤷‍♀️

Boris is a moron!

Drivers and passport

WearyAuldWumman · 03/05/2024 15:36

Passport, Scottish National Entitlement Card, Driving Licence (paper - no pic).

PeppermintParty · 03/05/2024 15:36

My passport expired and I never bothered to get it renewed, but once my driving licence expires, I won't renew it as can no longer drive due to disability. I do have a blue badge, but wondering if I ought to get a passport for ID purposes, even though I'm not intending to travel.

For those worried about not having ID to vote, you can get a special voter authority. https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting-and-elections/voter-id/applying-a-voter-authority-certificate

I have a birth certificate somewhere. I don't really have any other form of id, not that a birth certificate really proves anything.

Natsku · 03/05/2024 15:49

Passport, drivers license, my very old British provisional license that I used to use as ID before I got my drivers license

I live abroad and here we've needed to show ID to vote for a long time, plus need ID all the time for things like picking up parcels or going to the doctor (though just your ID number card is needed for that, not photo ID) so you won't find many people without some form of ID.

QueenOfTheEntireFuckingUniverse · 03/05/2024 15:49

Photo ID? None.

Other ID, BC and deed poll to show name change. Various accepted proof of name/address including UC account, bank account, council tax and water bills.

Andthereyougo · 03/05/2024 16:03

photo ID:
Driving licence.
Expired passport.
Bus pass.
Oh and an ‘Alien Card’ ( yes it’s really called that) from a country I was a resident in but not a National.

newtb · 03/05/2024 16:18

3, driver's licence, passport and long stay resident permit - 10 year titre de séjour.

Chillilounger · 03/05/2024 16:27
  1. Two passports and a driver's license.
BouleDeSuif · 03/05/2024 16:32

Driving licence and passport. Lost my birth certificate years ago.

avocadotofu · 03/05/2024 16:37

Two passports (I'm a dual national).

parkrun500club · 03/05/2024 16:43

I was thinking about this when doing my DBS check recently. I have a passport and driving licence, but they also want your NI number.

I also discovered I don't know where my birth certificate is (though I know I could order another one). My council tax bill would do for proof of address at the moment, as it's less than three months old. I think our latest water bill is probably less than three months old too, but we only get those twice a year.

Other than that I would be struggling for proof of address. It really is time we had a standard ID card that would be universally accepted.

Why are you asking these strange questions @CyanLemur ?

You're allowed to type full sentences you know

Bumply · 03/05/2024 17:10

Ds1 got a passport in his 20s as photo id
he has no intention of learning to drive, or travel for that matter, but decided passport to prove his age (for computer games) was worth the cost

Needmorelego · 03/05/2024 17:14

@Tarkan I had exactly the same yesterday. They didn't look at my marriage certificate 🤷

Aydel · 03/05/2024 17:16

I’ve got a British passport and driving licence, an ID card and driving licence from the Central European country where I live.

Florin · 03/05/2024 17:18

Passport, driving licence and shotgun licence
