Driving licence
Work badge
Birth certificate

I haven't got a valid passport.

SmallFY · 03/05/2024 20:47

Depends what you're counting as it.

I can prove my identity with lots of things, same as most people I imagine.

Passport
Driving licence
Birth certificate
Marriage certificate
Bank/mortgage/council tax statements
NHS number etc.

BobnLen · 03/05/2024 20:55

Passport, driving licence, older persons bus pass,
For address in my name, gas and electric, bank statement. Best not to have all the utilities and stuff for address ID in just one name of a couple.

reluctantbrit · 03/05/2024 21:13

1 British passport
1 German passport
1 German ID card
1 driving licence

I can't imagine myself not having any valid ID.

Address: bank and mortgage statement and council tax bill

checkedshirts · 03/05/2024 21:18

I used my blue badge. One dc used his driving licence and they questioned him as he now has a beard and is in his 20's and was 16 when the photo was taken and licence issued

Missingpotatocroquettes · 03/05/2024 21:21

Three with photo id. Passport, provisional license and military id card.

BiddyPop · 03/05/2024 21:26

3 passports (all valid)
Drivers licence
National ID where I live
I D for work (Government) - could count 2 really (2 different Departments)
Different id for work saying official representative of my Nation

All photo IDs.

ApolloandDaphne · 03/05/2024 21:32

Passport
Driving licence
Student matriculation card.
Scottish National Entitlement card.

All photo ID.

Justcallmelucy · 03/05/2024 21:33

Passport and driving licence. I would guess the vast majority would have at least one or the other.

Iwantacampervan · 03/05/2024 22:24

Photo ID- passport only

Non photo - driving licence, birth certificate

Pointshopgirl · 03/05/2024 22:26

Passport, driving licence and work ID badge

shoofly · 03/05/2024 22:26

2 passports and driving licence

hghcgdbfdj · 03/05/2024 22:28

Just a passport

ihavebecomecomfortablynumb · 03/05/2024 22:33

Driving license, passport and shotgun certificate.

ILikePistachios · 03/05/2024 22:34

Passport and (expired) driving licence which I've been forgetting to renew for about 8 months now

Apparently we're also including non government issued so in that case work ID as well

NannyGythaOgg · 03/05/2024 22:46

With pictures.
Passport, Driving Licence, and (more recently) concessionary bus pass

walkingfrogs · 03/05/2024 23:20

Passport, provisional driving licence, disabled Freedom Pass. Proof of address - lots of bills and bank statements (all mailed not printouts).
I've always set up my dcs with provisional driving licences as soon as they are old enough (even if they have no interest in driving), it's such a handy form of ID (as it's small enough to carry everywhere and govt issued so no quibble about it being accepted).

Tarkan · 04/05/2024 19:06

Needmorelego · 03/05/2024 17:14

@Tarkan I had exactly the same yesterday. They didn't look at my marriage certificate 🤷

That's good to know although I'll take it just in case anyway as you know I'd be asked for it if I didn't have it with me. I'm in Scotland so haven't had an election I need ID for yet.

Oldraver · 04/05/2024 19:10

By today's standards, technically non

Paper driving license and expired Passport

The expired Passport and Birth Certificate (as I'm old) are sufficient for my eligibility to work in the UK

My face is my ID to buy restricted items

Needmorelego · 04/05/2024 19:12

@Tarkan yes best to take it. I love my marriage certificate - all hand written in fancy ink pen writing like something from the olden days - I've only been married just over a decade 😂
I was going to apply for the special voting ID card but the application asks for National Insurance number but my NI information is still in my maiden name.

IvorTheEngineDriver · 04/05/2024 19:13

Driving Licence and expired passport (acceptable for some purposes, I understand).

Oh my birth certificate is like that. It's so pretty and looks really fancy.

I tried to apply for the voter card but it just told me that my passport and marriage certificate was fine so I wasn't eligible to apply for it.

I'll have to check if my kids have ID that works for it too, they're 20 and 16 so the youngest can vote in Scottish elections but I don't think we need ID for that, just for the UK ones which she wouldn't be eligible for yet but she doesn't have any photo ID at all yet so we'll have to sort that soon.

sleepyscientist · 04/05/2024 19:45

Passport and driving license. Also have my work ID that was harder to get than a passport!! It's government issued so would be surprised if they didn't take it. Borris deliberately make fun of himself to highlight a point.

taxguru · 04/05/2024 19:48

Passport and photo driving licence (which I always carry with me) to prove identity.

Annual council tax bill, paper bank statements and utility bills to prove address.

ToWhitToWhoo · 04/05/2024 19:51

Passport. Workplace photo ID card, but not sure if that counts for voting purposes.
