Really fancy box of chocolates, where you pick the selection - suggestions?

I want to get someone a really nice box of chocolates from one of the places that let you select how many of which flavour make up the box (they really dislike a couple of flavours that most selections seem to include multiples of!). Ideally ones that are handmade in the UK.

Where would you suggest? Thanks!

Fortnum & Mason? Can't think of what would be fancier.

Leonidas? I love their chocolates. You can buy them online or if you're in London they have a handful of stores.

Kennedy's chocolates. A great selection, fantastic flavours and pretty too. Well packaged and prompt delivery. They are my go to chocolate people.

In fact, ........ off to order some now😇

Ooooh thanks everyone!

@PoppingTomorrow those look absolutely amazing but I can't seem to find out anywhere what the flavours actually are?

Lindt let you do a pick and mix online

Blowing dandelions - amazing!! Love them. I get gifted them every birthday by my daughter!!
The shop is small and really personally run. I'm sure if you drop them an email they will make up the perfect box for the flavours needed/not needed!

Just check if the person has any allergies because those dandelion ones may contain nuts.

Bjorkdidit · 20/04/2024 08:01

Just about all handmade chocolates will contain nuts or be made in places that use nuts. It's unlikely that the kind of place that sells the chocolates the OP is looking for will have the resources to operate a truely nut free facility.

Googling 'handmade chocolates choose your own' gives a few options that look good.

At least no-one's suggested Audreys yet. I bought some of those after seeing them recommended on MN many times and tbh, they were really nothing special for the price, had a suspiciously long BBE of a year and a massive ingredients list full of all the nasties that are MN no nos like palm oil.

I'm sure OP is clever enough to work out not to give someone with a nut allergy a product that may contain nuts

I didn't say anything about a nut allergy?

I said they're fussy and don't like certain standard flavours!

If you want really fancy, the Highland Chocolatier.

I also recently discovered ArtChocolat - they look stunning. I haven't tried them though.

Venchi

Droolylabradors · 20/04/2024 08:12

Choccoco in Winchester.

Another vote for Kennedys. I get them for gifts following a recommendation on here that they make them for Fortnum and Mason. The sea salt caramel is amazing!

They are lovely, agreed, but you can't pick the flavours which is the specific thing I'm after Smile

Those suggesting Leonidas - I can't see any option to select the flavours yourself?

Ignore what I said about Kennedys making chocolates for Fortnum and Mason!
Google says it was Audrey's which another poster mentioned. Did get some and seem to remember them being fine. Definitely try Kennedys though we have had and gifted them a lot
