I've had many a snooze in the cinema!

I once slept through the whole of a choral recital in a Cathedral. I had bought tickets as a treat for DH, he loved it! I woke up for the interval, and then went back to sleep for the second half. DH was amazed I could sleep through the timpani drums which were reverberating round the cathedral, but it appears I could!

A Status Quo concert!

Scalby · 09/04/2024 14:24

Wembley stadium during a Roger Waters concert. In my defence I was ill.

Whilst being a life model for an art class.

In my defence the room was very warm and they wanted me laying down on a fluffy blanket...

Bewareofthisonetoo · 09/04/2024 14:44

In a work seminar where the speaker was presenting on how to motivate sales teams 😂

DustyMaiden · 09/04/2024 14:48

In bed, at the right temperature, light level, weight of quilt. After several hours. I’m jealous of those that just nod off.

tobee · 09/04/2024 14:50

In a trifle

No, not really. But I always remember a friend describing a friend's "disappointing" husband who drunkenly fell asleep in the pudding at a dinner party .

HarrietSchulenberg · 09/04/2024 14:53

Scribing in an exam.
Taking minutes in a very boring board meeting.
Both were after lunch and in warm rooms so there's a theme there.

Bamaluz · 09/04/2024 15:23

On the toilet at the pub.

MaMisled · 09/04/2024 15:23

I fell asleep at work for 20 minutes, in a tiny toilet, head against the wall. I was 10 weeks pregnant though.

I once fell asleep on a plane before takeoff. Woke up after the plane landed. It was that really deep deep sleep, no dreams, no half waking up at any time.

It felt like i just closed my eyes for about 4 seconds. It was very disorientating to realise the entire flight was already done.

That's my idea of heaven, especially if it's long haul

On jury service about 35 years ago. It was a dull case and the court was hot and stuffy. I caught myself nodding several times and was terrified the judge would hold me in contempt of court or something dire.

judgementfail · 09/04/2024 15:37

Coventry

Bobbotgegrinch · 09/04/2024 15:48

In a nightclub booth with my hands down somebodies pants. I was very very very very drunk at the time.

NeedWineNow · 09/04/2024 16:09

At school in a geography lesson. It with was a warm day and I was sitting at the back of the class while we were being shown an incredibly boring film about Belgium. I had my head propped in my hand with my elbow on the windowsill and I only woke up when my elbow slipped.

the other time was in the toilet at work. I literally just closed my eyes and I was in there for about 15 mins. I got back to my desk and the girls asked where I'd been - I said I'd bumped into the very talkative woman from Accounts and couldn't get away from her 😂😂😂

Deathraystare · 09/04/2024 16:13

I have narcolepsy so I can nod off anywhere - except my bed!

I often nod off in Westfield (shopping mall) and at work. I was in the rest roo before my shift and 'came too' wondering where the round table had come from and where was I??!!!

My friends tease me when |I nod off at the cinema. It is never for very long but embarrassing all the same.

Deathraystare · 09/04/2024 16:13

Oh yes, and the toilet!

Fouxdefafaaiai · 09/04/2024 16:14

Oooh just remembered I've also fallen asleep actually on stage in a play - twice in two separate plays!

Horses7 · 09/04/2024 16:16

Opticians after a long day at work - he said rest your forehead against this bar ……zzzzzz
He had to shout really loud to wake me up 🤣

crumblingschools · 09/04/2024 16:26

I fell asleep at College once. Desk was by a wall and I fell asleep with my head resting on the wall. Got caught by the lecturer!

soupmaker · 09/04/2024 16:37

DH can sleep anywhere anytime. He nods off in any mode of transport if he's not driving, was seriously irritating when he was supposed to be giving directions pre the days of satnavs. He once fell asleep in the posh seats at a production of Don Giovanni, walking up just in time for what he described as the "one hit single" Opera not his thing. He was always the first to fall asleep on a big night out with his pals, often on a venue toilet.

MissingMoominMamma · 09/04/2024 16:39

Pushing a pram to baby clinic.

TroysMammy · 09/04/2024 16:44

During the musical Chicago.
Toilet in a local pub when out with friends.
Against a radiator on a work's party.
Toilet in a hotel during another work's party. I woke up at 3am and everyone had gone home.

I don't drink alcohol anymore and I start yawning at 8.45pm and in bed at 10pm at the latest.

tillytoodles1 · 09/04/2024 16:53

At a yoga class. We were all chilling out at the end and my daughter thought I was just relaxing, until I let out a loud snore.

AyrshireTryer · 09/04/2024 16:55

At a board meeting.
