mayonnaise or salad cream?

i used to like salad cream to make an egg salad 20 years ago
it is dated isnt it?
but just occasionally i think, a touch of salad cream would be nice

This. It makes up in sugar what it loses in fat. If I mix Mayo with anything it's more likely to be crème fraîche. I will use aioli on occasion though, even though the commercial versions are somewhat in the SC mould.

Salad cream with new potatoes and a ham salad sandwich. Mayonnaise with chips and a chicken salad sandwich - has to be Heinz too (Hellmans has an artificial taste).

Both but I can't bear Hellmans, so bland and gloopy. Light ones are disgusting too. French style mayo with mustard is the best, preferably homemade (I make a jar most weeks). I do love salad cream with chips or cheese though.

Salad cream mixed with grated cheddar was my childhood favourite and I still enjoy it now
