What small thing did you start doing that makes your life better?

OP posts:
AlmondNutbutter · 03/04/2024 13:22

Getting up roughly the same time at the weekend.

Slightly outside of my control, but sunshine is one small thing that makes life so much better!

EspressoMacchiato · 03/04/2024 13:25

Fixing my circadian rhythm.

Seeing morning light before picking up my phone and wearing blue light blockers after seeing sunset light.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/04/2024 13:27

Exercising consistently (and prioritising it).

Happytimes123456 · 03/04/2024 13:28

My daily starbucks 🤣

EdithStourton · 03/04/2024 13:32

A decent cup of tea.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 03/04/2024 13:35

A run every day, whatever the weather. Mostly because it's so nice once it's over!

KarateSchnitzel · 03/04/2024 13:35

Iron supplements

isitbananatimealready · 03/04/2024 13:37

I stopped watching the news on television. Very good for reducing your stress levels, that is.

TheChosenTwo · 03/04/2024 13:37

Going for a daily walk on my own, headphones in.

pastypirate · 03/04/2024 13:39

Iced coffee that I can make better at home than from a cafe thanks to any old tiktok video and a milk frother stick - £5 the range.

Have it every day.

Electric blanket cheap one from dunhelm.

Refusing to ever wear heels again and I am a dressy person.

£3 vitamin c serum from Morrisons from a brand called Creightons.

Erasable pens from Legami - £1.50 in Ryman's I use them for every thing.

I get up 20 minutes before the kids and have a coffee in total silence.

I'm up through the night with DD who has a medical condition, I have constant school runs and drop offs, kids in college and work who are in and out at all hours, and clubs for my younger dc daily, home school one of my dc, so its very rare I get time alone.

Those 20 minutes are bliss.

AquaDuck · 03/04/2024 13:41

NAP!

ScoopyDoo · 03/04/2024 13:43

Cycling to and from work, in fact cycling/walking to most places. Car barely leaves the drive and never for something I could cycle to in less than an hour.

JMSA · 03/04/2024 13:45

Tea. A cosy blanket. Relaxation. A good book and/or box set. Food, lots of Blush

JosiePosey · 03/04/2024 13:49

Exercise. Drinking enough water. Sitting in sunshine. A good cup of tea and an occasional cake or biscuit. Regular reading. Completely clean eating.

Me too although the downside is I've become a nervous driver because I never do it.

Clutterbucks · 03/04/2024 14:41

Quit alcohol.

catscalledbeanz · 03/04/2024 16:22

Somewhat of a frivolity, but for me, fresh flowers. I always buy a bunch each week from lidls (£2/3.50). And they cheer me up so much. There's a bunch of roses at the minute that never fail to make me smile when they catch my eye .

Kneeslikethese · 03/04/2024 16:25

A bath, every day, that half hour peace is healing and the hot water soothes my aches.

I really want to do this but my daughter is an early riser, do the kids know to leave you alone or just they’re still asleep?

Bethebest · 03/04/2024 16:27

Always having an audiobook on the go.

Pluvas · 03/04/2024 16:29

Quitting alcohol
Regular exercise
Books
Tea
Sitting in the garden just after I wake listening to the birds, sitting by my pond.

WitchyPoos · 03/04/2024 16:29

Giving up alcohol. Walks in first spring/autumn and all through summer. Music

Toooldtocareanymore · 03/04/2024 16:29
