What small thing did you start doing that makes your life better?

OP posts:

Drinking gallons of cold water every day! I've got 4 reusable lidded bottles on my work's desk that I'm always guzzling from and always refilling them, and at home there's 2 on my bedside table, again always drinking from/refilling!

Women are supposed to drink about 11 1/2 glasses a day and 15 1/2 for men, I'm female but I drink about the men's amount!

I just LOVE cold water!

Flumpie, when you started drinking loads of water how long did it take for your bladder to adjust? Any time I try to up my intake - and I have to remind myself to drink water at the best of times - I'm bursting for a wee every 10 minutes

@Flumpie59 & when you say a glass, are you talking about 250mls-ish?

Good thread OP.
Quitting drinking (although I definitely wouldn’t call that a small thing.)
Finding a really lovely high cocoa content chocolate in Lidl.
Using a Champneys Shea butter showercreme - the one I used to use got discontinued & I was so happy that this one smells very similar.
Spending more time with my bunnies
Cultivating fresh herbs on the kitchen windowsill
Changing my teabags to Yorkshire Gold

Daily fresh beetroot (apple carrot and ginger) juice.

Marry someone you like.

Life is long, don't spend it unhappy.

Taking a daily vitamin d tablet. I didn't realise my levels were low and didn't realise how much better I would feel taking them. I've just had to do three months to up my levels and then need to take them for three months every winter.

Love this thread. To PP who asked about early risers: I aim for a quiet 20 mins in the morning but one of my teenagers often comes to find me. 1:1 time in this house is hard to come by. So for me:
coffee in the silence of the early morning
a great cup of tea from a teapot with a pleasing pour
half hour run every day followed by stretching
no alcohol (realised it was driving anxiety and night sweats)
early to bed
read every day
enjoying nature (often on my morning run)

What a great thread. Thank you OP some fab ideas I will use.

prioritising time with my husband - a cuddle or more, a walk or just cooking together centres me more than anything else I can think of.

I also agree with drinking plenty of water

“nesting” my home regularly - making it a calm sanctuary I want to be.

Exercise outdoors.
Paying attention to what I eat and not just mindlessly shoving stuff in my gob.
Books.
Using really nice bath and shower products.
