There’s a Ben Fogle one that seems a bit cruel.

Not seen any in the news so far - and i have looked on BBC website and a couple of other sites.

I got fooled by a friend's FB update. Only realised when I was telling DH and DS their news and they explained it was an April Fool. I am notoriously gullible though.

Tried to play one on DH but it lasted 30 seconds. DS is playing a good one on friends, online.

I thought maybe the decriminalisation of cannabis in Germany? But not sure now

No this is actually true. I have relatives in Germany and they told me about this weeks ago.

I am fairly sure one on R4’s Today program was. The story was about Niksen, a (real) Dutch form of mindfulness which is basically “nothinging”. They announced that the BBC would open a new Niksen radio station, broadcasting silence for those who want to practice Niksen. It was to be called Radio 0.

TGI Friday's legendary Glaze as a shower gel.

I saw a tweet that caught me for a second earlier - story about fitting lakeland Herdwick sheep with leds, to help light up the fells at night for hikers. Poor sheep I thought, that's an awful idea.... 🙄😏

One about Richard Dawkins becoming a 'cultural Christian' 😂

The vase on This Morning was so obvious from the first few seconds that I don't believe Alison Hammond was taken in. I think she was pretending.

At least I hope so.

Highclere Castle being renamed Highclere Abbey after the success of Downton!

Years ago, the local area paper would print something funny if it was due out on or around April 1st.

One was about the people of Italy picking the spaghetti crop and even had pictures. The other one I remember wrote about the plans for building a bridge from their town to Canada (over a Great Lake).

Even funnier were the people who believed the stories. {face palm}

The spaghetti trees was BBC Panorama broadcast in 1957 [[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti-tree_hoax Here].

I saw a Yorkshire tea one with parallelogram tea bags, and my local church selling the stained glass window to raise money for the rector's gin fund.

Babyroobs · 01/04/2024 12:42

Heinz announcing they're making a ketchup based line of hair care

On another thread, loads of people are saying ketchup cures hair ruined by chlorinated swimming pools, so maybe not such a bad idea!

Nice to have a church team with a sense of humour!

Basingstoke Canal have bought some water buffalo to help keep a weed under control. They can also sell buffalo mozzarella to raise funds for the upkeep of the canal so win win.

One about Richard Dawkins becoming a 'cultural Christian' 😂

That's no joke, he's said that for years - specifically a cultural Anglican.Confused
